It's looking kind of dead I think, one day I seen it down and went to bring the server back up, but got nothing. I talked to Nathan, it's prolly something with the host, I thought maybe he forgot a payment but he payed eight days prior to me bringing it up, and he sent an e-mail, and so far, I haven't heard anything and it's still been down.

It was a good idea, and was fun while it lasted. Besides, it went down as I started to get bored of L2 anyway.

There's nothing wrong with the idea, not at all. Many people have private servers up. The stupid part comes in when you don't carry out something you started.

, the first time he had the l2 server up (or i think it was on lm, with Nathan as GM anyways) they had about 160x xp rate and got nearly 30 players and after 3 days he said he was gonna lower the xp and i didnt mind but then he said he was gonna lower it from 160x to like 7x and thats the worst idea i could even think of, i told him to not lowering it so much cos everyone would left and he kept thinking that lowering it would get more players lol (and you say he has half brain

) so i advised him he lowered xp and went from 30 players to less than 5 and in few days to an empty server and all that for not listening to me. L2 in an already kinda old game nearly no playes wanna play on those soo low xp servers (at least me) i did when i started played on a 7x server till lvl 51 then server wiped cos on free servers you can expect that anytime

. So a server with a least 50x xp or highter with some decent things working would get more players, than a low rate one.

Nah, Tyr. Low rates/low mid rates kick ass. The reason so many left is because he had them high and changed it. When you make changes like that, that's what gets people to leave. People often don't like change.

And believe it or not, the server will be back up soon. Apparantly the reason for it being down was caused by someone doing something to make it go down, though I wont say what. Nonetheless, it should be protected from that happening again. Though I'm not real excited about it coming back up, L2 is boring to me, but can be fun for awhile. Lest we decide just to put er' back down. Though Nathan seems to want to keep it up this time around.

wont get much players in a low rate server, to play on a unstable very low rate server theres`plenty of other low rate servers with more stuff and more players, but then thats just my opinion i have played l2 a lot and a very low rate server just gets me bored. i started to play on that server but when i saw just 5 players and 14x rates i just never came back

14x isn't lowrate, that's low midrate. And the type of rates you're talking is too easy. There's a type of server for everyone, and that's why it doesn't matter what we set the rates to, since those that like those type of rates will come, those that don't are gone. And I think getting to level 40 in two days at 14x rates is still pretty goddamn easy.

besides the max lvl is 75 not 40, but anyways i dont care not gonna play l2 again i think. and yes 14x is low there are a lot of 1000x-5000x xp servers and you call 14x already a low-mid rate? cmon.... lol

Actually, we had few players because we just started the server, you don't get 100 or so players right off the bat. And it wasn't 5 or less until later when we started having problems, it was actually in the 20's. And wrong again Tyrael, the max level is 78, not 75. At level 76 you can make yet another class change. No, I don't call it a low-midrate, it IS a low-midrate based on L2 site standards.

and it was lvl 75 max b4 didnt even though the server had the chronicle 4 things working (or does it?), cos on most server the new C4 things dont work or are bugged.

I don't actually. I don't expect anything to be saved, I don't expect the security to be as tight as he says, nor do I expect a game to be stuck with, well taken care of, and upkept. I wouldn't mind looking at some other games, but I am not going to do a crapload of work to make shit turn out right, cause it will all be in vain.
