OK, now for a serious (kinda) poll. I got a few new GodSpire creatures in mind but the ideas I have look like they will be pretty time consuming to implement. I couldn't decide which one to work on first and I thought I'd let the GodSpire community have a say.

I'm not providing any details other than "boss" put anyone with some healthy D&D knowledge or anyone with some of the D&D books can probably figure most of them out. I want them to be a surprise though, so you won't get anymore clues beyond this one:

Laogzed - Troglodyte deity

Alright, I await the community's descision and I'll just work on all the easy (non-AI) stuff meanwhile.

I voted Dragon. We need a really cool one. Make a Shadow Dragon and I could add some visual effect on spawn like shadow shield...should be cool...

Well I picked Baelnorn because they are elven Liches that continue to lead and educate their community. So they tend to grow in power faster than a normal lich.

Let's just say this Baelnorn started out good but the eons-long transformation into a Demilich has left it totally mad! A sad story indeed, better put it out of it's misery.

A question I need some community feedback with:

What is the max HP for everyones dueling casters? (cleric, wiz, sorc or druid)

This may or may not have something to do with or without the GodSpire creatures, or not!

Max hp...around 1000 hp ...consider that a pretty hp buffed caster.

Looks like this poll is going to be close.
Much closer than the Destroy the Sun poll which I think was 300% in favor of 420 cartoonish super vilany.

Well we're about to find out I guess, I got sort of sucked into making the caster dueler AI and there weren't too many bugs to work out so I finished one of the creatures already.

I think the polls may have looked a bit different if Elessar knew that the demilich was going to be the caster and not the Alhoon. After all, most caster duels don't involve sucking out your brains.

So, I'm going to do one more check over the Baelnorn Demilich and upload it to Mo and we should see it after the next module update. If you're curious about the origins of a Baelnorn Demilich check out it's description.

The polls seem to indicate that a dragon is wanted, so a dragon it will be. I'll start working on it this evening.

I'm gonna add an option to spawn one in Spellhold for 1v1 dueling.

OK, the dragon is now in its Beta test phase, ask cuchulaan or Elessar what they thought of it if you want a sneak preview.

I see the Avatar and Alhoon are neck and tentacle, maybe I'll work on them both after the dragon.

I'm also interested in hearing how Mo did against the Baelnorn Demilich, I think it's a great idea to allow people to spawn them for battle in the caster dueling area.

I was also thinking about giving people th option to spawn in one of the creatures for a team battle. Add a little more danger to the danger room. Which creature would be the best to cause havoc in a team duel?

Ideas? Comments? Pomegranates?

That dragon must have been having fun, because it whomped on 420, Mav, some guy i dont know, and I. It was fun though

Heh, being able to summon AI creatures for team duels would be interesting for when there arent many people on.

Soon as i remake my mage, i would like to duel it.

Make the Avatar before tha Alhoon because i want to see what it looks like (unless it looks like a normal Trog)

Are Baelnorns supposed to simply look like normal Demi-Liches? of course there could have been a difference i simply didnt notice.

The monsters aren't balanced enough for team dueling.
Unless we spawn Sea Hags..Jubelix and those types.

As for the trog and demilich appearances:

I didn't put any special visual effects on the demilich because I wanted too allow all of its casting and spell effects to be clearly visable since it's meant for 1v1 caster duels.

If I decide to use the trog model I will give it some visual effects to distinguish it from the normal trog appearance.

For the team arena maybe it could spawn kobold commandos, one on each side of the centerpiece.

I think GodSpire needs to be made falling dragon proof. Im sure there will be a crack or two in the halls from where that dragon falls.

Hmm. Well it seems better not to have a dragon because of it's size. But if that is the choice then make it the correct type, obviously people without the right expansions wont be able to see certain things and this could cause a problem.

The Alhoon or "Illithilich" is a powerful undead Mind Flayer. Have no fear, there will be plenty of brain sucking going on when he is finished.

The dragon uses a non-expansion model. Hopefully I will finish it tonight.

I tried the Demilich . There's some good points and some negative points .
In 1v1 it's quite easy .Their dmg is low , really low ( 30-40 dmg a spell ) . It's immune to fod , but not to ice storm ( some ice immunity would be nice , hitting them only with isaacs ) . If it was human I'd say it's lacking of timing ( nice scripting btw I can imagine how hard it is to get an IA react with timing ) . That was the negative points .
THOUGH : I accidently made 2 mord instead of one on the thing to summon them , wich happen I did summon 2 of them . In 2v1 they're making a really good fight . One is dispelling the other one is attacking that's really good stuff . Their small size make them hard to aim with the mouse

That's the positive points . Keep the hard work
