That's right folks, the new craze sweeping the Halls of Godspire is duels between level one characters. Started by the legendary Bus Driver, this represents the pinnacle of character creation and pvp skill. The rules are simple: Your character must be level 1 and must use level 1 items. This means an item cost of less than 1000 GP. It's an honour system, but overpowered items become obvious (and I can do spot Inventory checks on likely honourless scum). Yes, I know some of you are thinking "Level 1? How hard can it be to make a good character? What skill? That's too easy so I wont waste my time.", but the reality is very different. Just ask Morticia:p

If you think you have what it takes, try building a level one character and show us your character building skill. Remember it is the pinnacle of pvp gaming. Each duel is guaranteed to have you on the edge of your seat. The tension is almost unbearable at times. Those of a nervous disposition should stick to the safety of level 40 duels where saving throws become meaningless

ehm i can't even make a good melee lvl 20 chr so i am sticking with a mage but to build a lvl 1 mage?

i mean that's just asking for the weakest chr i think lol

I warn you poping in every now and again and randoming lvl 40 at lvl 1 has hardend my shell so to speak! bwahaha

I actually seen Bus starting this stuff, it was humorous, and he rocked at it, so I may paricipate too. I think that lvl 10 or 12 duels could also be an interesting factor, but who knows, I'm a flippin kill enraged psycho....

Bus is the master of lvl 1 duelling??? I have and shall again whomp his bus driving butt! Its a cool concept though and just as challenging as lvl 40 duels. I imagine a human fighter would prolly whomp about anybody on account of all the feats he/she would get.

would be pointless. it would lower AB by like 1, for like 2 seconds...

bard song works for 10 rounds no matter what I think (yeah just checked, just in case

)

anyway I don't c why ppl would want to go melee or try hitting, tho with such low hp it might work, because I think the best would be using a caster wether druid cleric sorc or wizard they're all good enough. A good lvl 1 will maybe get 4 ford (a guess) and even lower will saves, so a very efficient spell can be cast, sleep (will save: 10 + lvl 1 spell + modifier), only a lucky roll would save the opponent. Don't know if the cleric gets that spell, but he can get the domain where he gets better summons. My friend played 2 vs 1 (about lvl 5) and he owned them both by casting a summon and just buffing it, and if it dies..... do it again

I won't bother trying to make a lvl 1 because I don't care, but think about those tactics hehe
