any thread which is not closed by an admin can be brought back to life but I assume you know that and it doesn't need your understanding!  :D
So if you have any problems with it then don't read or post here and use your time more efficiently on threads that seems to be more important to you  ;)

And you know nothing about our members! So don't talk about them in such a way! And about randoming HeLL, you ain't doing better! You don't have any right to point your finger at others!
And the fact that so many posted here again shows one thing:
Even after a month there still seems to be things that need to be talked about.
May be the admins of this forum should have closed this thread if anything had been said about this but it doesn't seemed to be.

Thanks, it's a funny module but it containts a load of scripts, many of which I don't understand at all  :( it's fun but no help *sigh*

in fact I only need to know how to use GetTileMainLight1Color and SetTileMainLight...
Just need a small example how to get a certain tile

No really, wether it is a Godspire rule or not, I won't tell anyone which sent is bad or whatever. As I just said, I - as the hoster of our mod - I'm watching what's going on there (Ante Homeworld) and have a look regulary! So, as I just said, it can't be difficult  :)
And I never complained about it. I just wrote it (NO COMPLAINT!)
And I am not whining about mel, you couldn't be more wrong! It's just that I respect her like a good person (even if I don't know anything about her in RL)

If you would have read the whole text then you would have noticed that I wrote "... but I don't have to understand everything"  :) and that would have made your post quite useless!
And if any sent abuses his powers or even randoms then I still won't post it here. It's not my job to do that, it's the job of the owner or host of the module to watch his sents and DMs. I do the same with our module so it can't be so hard  :P

Hmmm okay I'll add my opinions and questions to this discussion (even if I don't fully understand everything that is being said - hey I'm german but my english is much better than your german LOL) I recognized this thread today so I appologize if I am not fully up to date  :huh:

Okay it seems to be about mel. I don't care if she is a girl or a boy, doesn't matter to me! When I first met her on GodSpire I think she was sent and our first encounter wasn't a good one  :blink: As far as I remember I was randoming her and I was pretty mad because I couldn't do any damage to her character  :D
Whatever happened she didn't loose her temper and she gave me a new chance everytime and that's more you can expect from any other sent on GodSpire.
Then things went better and I played by the rules. Time passed and some of you know that Morticia gave up Antes and Alkti was trying to rebuild it. I rejoined Antes and we tried to create a homeworld for our clan (now called a "tribe")
As you may know it has become what is now called the legitBehave or JustBehave-Server  :) The rules are very similar to those on GodSpire and still lots is different there.
It would not be the same without her continous help. She tried to find bugs and helped us with lots of scripts. One day I asked her if she want to be sent because I found her very reasonable. She never did anything that would have caused any troubles or problems or whatever so things were going very well.
All of our tribe members who know her respect mel! Okay why do I post all this here? I met mel some days ago and she told me she was going to be less online as usual and may even stop playing nwn  :( So that was very sad news, because I got very used to her presence and I don't know if I would like NWN the same way I did before when she wasn't there...
I can't understand why someone is removed as DM only because he is less online on the server as he used to be. I thought there were more than one DM so it shouldn't be a problem if someone has some other important things to do in RL.
By the way, by all that power every sent on GodSpire possesses, why do they need a DM???  :huh:
Well, i know things are changing as time goes by and there is nothing you can do about it. But as mel said, there was a time GodSpire was much better as it is right now.
I am not the only one who thinks like that.
For me Mo is a bit hard to understand why he acts like that to mel but well, I don't have to understand everything  ;)
It's sad that players like mel are treated like that and others (now I'm thinking of some sents which I won't mention here) who are doing a bad job as sent are not being treated for that.
Ok, right now I don't know what I should add to my post. I just wanted to add some of my thoughts to the board...think about it what you want, do with it what you like... B)
Whatever will happen to you mel, I really hope to see you once in a while! It'll bring some warm sunrays in my nwn-world!  :)

Okay next one:

I want to change the lighting of an area by using a script.
It's a 3x5 tileset area and the idea is to talk to a NPC, the whole area lighting
turns dark, an action happens, the lighting turns back to normal.
I understand it has something to do with SetTileMainLightColor and GetTileMainLight1Color / GetTileMainLight2Color
but I am not sure how to use it properly.

Because it seems that nearly every creature or player saves succesful everytime doesn't matter what kind of level he is  :(

But this line doesn't work the way it should:

When the spell is cast still each creature in a 10m radius does a will save and is dominated if it fails, even the caster.
Then I tried to remove it with this line:

Oh and there seems to be no effect on the hostile creature when the spell fails due to a succesful will save. Do I have to make an extra efect for that?

But I want to have a "fair" timestop so I have to add a saving throw, may be will save. How do I do that? And can someone show me where I have to add SELECTIVE_HOSTILE so that this spell will only affect hostiled targets??

Hmmm I'm living in germany so we have GMT +1.
Usually when I am on in the morning (when it is about 9am in germany) there are not many players on GodSpire and nearly are there any sents.
As you know we have our own Ante server and all Ante-members are sents there so if you need more sents in the morning (when it is morning in europe) let me know ;)

Btw, 420, you want to replace gamespy by something better? (probably your ultimate dream, you don't like lamespy I think :P)

Buying extra hardware is not an option at the moment. I don't know where to place a second computer, and the extra money for buying it is also a problem atm. I have more important things to spend my money on.

If we have a way of increasing the max capacity of players on our mod without any lag then it will be a funny idea.
But at the moment it's fine the way it is.

Think of it as an IQ test, if players can't figure out where the portal to your server is, you probably don't want them on your server anyway. Sort of like Smith Hold, if you can't find the main entrance to the city, then maybe it isn't the right mod for you.

If I see all those noobs and other kiddos it can't be that high and that would mean that nearly no one will ever find this portals. So what is the use of them if nobody uses them????

Those portals need another location or no one will ever use them.
Why don't you place them anywhere near the main fighting arena?
Oh and please do something about these monsters in the dungeon. They are so hard to hit it's no fun at all to go into that dungeon :(

Oh come on do you think I read all articles in every forum there is???
I am not much active here on LM since we have our own Ante-forum.
By the way LM is still causinf troubles with my IE. sometimes I just can't reach this site. I use arivs or our own ante-forum much more often.
You guys were talking about this some days ago and if I wouldn't have asked today I still wouldn't know.
But I am still not sure about this portal idea. It would only make sense if there was the same portal in our ante-mod too and I don't have any clue how to script such a thing. And may be it would mean we would get more visitors in our mod but on some days there are already more than 15 players on and my comp can't host more than a max of 20 players or else it gets too laggy...
we'll see...
