Thanks Talon thread
« on: November 06, 2004, 09:58:06 AM »
I thought maybe I would liek to say thanks to Talon for hosting GS all these years/months. Somehow its grand to come back to nwn and still see GS going strong. I think it takes a lot of his own time and effort from his own business for him to host such a finely scripted mod, and also for being such a keen dueller, and strict dm - cos that helps with gs's character too. And also for being open minded about sents.

I know Talon is a dictator sometimes, but I think he has to be cos gs is a drain on his time and money even though he must enjoy it too.

In this thread, I would also like to thank all the other great builders in nwn. I can't know all their names, so here's some :-

Fobe
Jay
Slaughterhouse's team (i dont know where they are now :/ but they were a bit like Talon)
Gamesoldier's 2drunk (and his gf, dont know where they r now)
Lilac Soul (never met her/him personally but those scripts r marvellous)

and all the ubers :-
Zurc
Kiamera
BK
Posmo
Shakira(?)

and all the players wow so many greats
Bloodangel
edit: Shadowfury! (iceycool) - oyea must be the nicest /most powerful caster clan guy i ever met almost....
Viper (ok so ur a pest sometimes but heck)
Hubba (ok so ur a pest sometimes but heck)
Mo (who must have helped gs a lot)
All the Sents at gs (Taarna esp and 420 of course)
Planeswalkers clan
Necriss new and old
Clan AoD
Clan AoM
(i can't mentione all the other clans cos i dont know them as well)

and the great hackers
Dante Krown
(gee only remember one atm, but there are others i know for sure but their names slip my memory)

and Team LETO
esp DragonSong and Dave and Slamel and Dude and Coroder and ALL!!!!

maybe you guys can mention other nice players u knew in nwn from long ago too?

Here, here *knock on his desk*. Well said mate. I would like to second the sentiment about Talon, in fact let me tell you a little story about when I first met Tal.

Back in the dawn of NWN On-line GS was one of the first servers up. I joined GS for the first time and in all my n00b glory I hit up Talon on a how-to on the 3rd party program LETO. He went to great lengths and even greater patience to explain to me the details.

BTW Jay will be hosting a brand new mod any second.

Ahh the Planeswalkers, *looks far into the distance*. I was in the Planeswalkers (Planeswalker Crane) and was let in by the founder Abyss and trained by their best Pvper's (Wind, Blizzard, Damien, Cain, etc..) They were by far the best clan in SOU.

Necriss was the undisputed power house clan of pre-SOU (especially under Jonas). From mid SOU under the Mephisto they started to break apart (especially once Mephisto stopped playing NWN for L2!). IN HOTU I led the Necriss but recently I have gave the reigns of power to the 'Council' and focusing on other things..

Did you always play under the name gashmo?

thank you taffy, I'm grateful

I guess I just miss my friend."

No.. i didnt. I'm a pretty weak pvper but i always felt u guys did some really nice stuff to duel with and all the arena servers were really ace and deserved a thanks too (scripting can be a chore...!).
