.................Everytime i go into multiplayer i get a connection failed, try another nic message. Ive tried rebooting my comp and errrrrrr disconecting and reconecting to the net and well its still there :( :( i really dont wanna uninstall cause i just patched and that took ages so any tips/ideas/help would be great.

Don't do anything rash! I think a lot of people are having the same problem -it's to do with Gamespy, not the end-user!

Can anyone else chime in - who was complaining about this in the last few days?

So you have no more problems Blood? K. Just clearing that up. I've had that problem before and I have come to believe... yes... it is Gamespy. Gamespy can be pretty screwy at some times. I think it's your connection vs Gamespy that wasn't working. Only certain connections do it time to time. I think my router was interfering with it once. K. And yes it's true... hopefully I'm back.

nope no probs, but I still can't open the 5121 port so can't host anything. why isn't there just a open port option

direct connect worked but the server needed x packs so i went to install them and half way through installing sou it aborted and then i couldent use nwn so i used the crit rebuild  thing on the cd and that fixed it but got rid of the patch that took me yonks to get wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh so i tried installing it again and same thing happen so ive completely unistalled nwn and gonno try aagin wahhhhhhhhhhhh damint i hate computers

alright i uninstalled nwn completely and installed nwn and hou again and went into mulitplayer to see if i could connect to to gamespy but im still getting the "Connection failed, try another nick" message................im really hoping this isent a probelm on my end........

and since you don't like downloading the patch so often how bout getting it saved? right click the updater and you can make it save the patch

You can directconnect, I barley use gamespy. It just works so well that I prefer to type the server's IP over it. :)
