If anyone sees Talon/Taffy before he reads this post, can you please inform him that Divine Exaltation would like the key to the throne room that is in Angband. Nemesis spoke to Taarna months ago about our clan claiming that area as our own just like the Havens of Doriath belong to Doriath. I would think it's just a small task and have it out of the way so you can get back to any bigger problems that are available. Thanks.

At least they dont have to use a glitch to get in. Shadow, hope you dont have to wait as long as us, + i dont think the DMs care enough to help us out.

Actually, Nem told me he was supposed to have gotten the key 8 months ago... Taarna gave him Angband back when he was still in BH so... yea

What exactly do you expect the DMs to do? Talon is the only one with direct access to the GodSpire mod and he is the only person that can add the keys.

DM does not equal Server Admin.

I could make the "key" items and send them to Talon, but he would still have to script the clan/key system into GodSpire before any of it was functional.

Also, keep in mind that Talon is currently remaking the GodSpire mod from the ground up. So he probably isn't going to do any more major upgrades to the current GodSpire mod because we will all be moving to a brand new GodSpire anyway.

New mod looks great btw, some of us got a sneak preview a few nights ago.

Take a minute to imagine all the things the DMs, and in particular Talon, has "cared enough" to do. There's a slim chance you might be grateful to him.

cool, didnt know a new mod was being made. The way i heard it, the ORIGINAL Thomas of Doriath was told he would get some keys...course that came from the second Thomas who is confused a lil too often

*PS* I have nothing but respect for Talon, - him calling Blood and I scum, cause iv been messing around with the Mod creater and i dont know whats going on. But its been forever...its kinda depressing only getting to go into 1/4 your clan area...

Iv been wondering forever what are the thrones in the main halls were used for. Only time iv ever seen open is when Raven is playing aournd

um...they are ONLY rooms, big deal if you can't get into them. ppl should worry more about their clan than a damn room....like being able to open the doors to a car, but the car has no engine; WHAT THE BLOODY HELL GOOD IS IT

When I first brought up this topic, my whole intent was so that each clan can have private meetings whenever they are in GS. There's no doubt that you can still hold meetings but it's rather annoying when a n00b or a non-clan member comes up right next to you even if you are in party talk and they can't hear you. The other night, DE had a meeting in Angband and this one guy kept coming right up next to us shifting into various forms. We asked him to leave but it'd be great if we had more privacy. Also, I agree with 420 and Throbblefoot. In my original post, I asked for Talon's help, not the other DM's since I knew they weren't server admins and they couldn't do much except talk to Talon. So basically, I just wanted to refute Anheg's comment on the DM's not caring when they probably do care to a certain extent.

Also, apparently I don't care about the key anymore since I JUST found out that you can walk through some rocks, around the wall, and into the throne room. Thanks Blood for the tip! I'm not sure if 420 also meant that little trick, but I thought he was talking about the glitch, so I'll thank him anyways

You know a good place to have private meetings without a bunch of interference from newbs? The Blunted Edge Tavern in Smith Hold!
The server isn't available all the time, but if you ask 420 or me, we'll be happy to open it for you.

Yea, BzK is right. The House of the Bear belongs to Marauders. The throne room in there is where they hold all their private meetings. And they can lock their door too!!

Umm we can't lock our door just like you can't unlock yours.

It just so happens that 5 DMs belong to Marauders and can force unlock or lock doors.

Yep just before one of the battles (not sure which) we had to kick "Brujah" out of there, some with DM kicking because they were being stupid :/

The throne room in the main halls is reserved for Numenor, one of the original godspire guilds. The Halls, is their guild area. And Angband was Marauders territory, but Taarna seems to have given it away, which I can understand because HoB is totally more pimp that Angband.

I'm closing this topic. Since Taffy is working on a new mod and not updating the current GS, no point in asking for the key to Angband. I just hope something works out with the new one.
