Actually the practice of burning personal copies is (stupidly) still not legal in the old U.S. of A.

D'oh, well that shows me! Like I said in the politics thread, people only follow the laws they want to anyway. I think partially because there are SO MANY laws we can't ever possibly follow them all.

Laws primarily exist so corporations have an excuse to fuck with the consumer.

where did you get that information chichiri? or are you referring to a CD with copy protection? because as long as it doesn't have copy protection then it IS legal in the "old U.S. of A."

I dont really want to find it but the digital millenium copyright act of 1998 (whats up with that) says you cannot make personal copies . Also in another thread (it had somthing to do with NWN ) we have already gone over this. If i have some time i'll link it.

Don't know about other states/countries but...

California Driver's Handbook 2004

Quote
YellowÃ????A yellow signal light means Ã????CAUTION.Ã???? The red signal is about to appear. When you see the yellow light, you should stop if you can do so safely. If you canÃ????t stop, watch for vehicles that may enter the intersection when the light changes.

Quote
Red - A red signal light means Ã????STOP.Ã???? You can make a right turn against a red light after you stop and yield to pedestrians, bicyclists, and vehicles that are close enough to be a hazard. Do not make the right turn until you can turn safely. DO NOT turn if there is a sign posted for Ã????NO TURN ON RED.Ã????

To quote Bill Hicks: "I'm a reader."

Yes, not only do I read every single post on this forum, I also read everything else that I come across. Books, pamphlets, signs, shirts, newspapers, magazines, graffiti, tattoos and messages shaved into peoples heads.

yup 420 got it

i think there are a few places where u cant turn on a red in the US(not exactly sure), but in canada u can

as for the yellow light technically you're supposed to stop, but if you cant do so safely then dont try it. its actually a $167 fine here

Your supposed to stop but if you can make it your not going to get stopped. You can go if you don't get through before the red light comes.

"BitTorrent -  allows users to download a file from multiple different people, rather than a central location."

There are quite a few programs like this, none of which are currently illegal (I think). It's basically a way around the law that brought down Napster.

It is illegal but like Limwire its extremely hard to stop because it is from multiple users and not a centralized location. But it is ILLEGAL
