these portals freeze me 1/2 times.......login*freeze*....relog*ok*......relog*freeze again*.....relog*ok*......arg

Its very annoying. Are portals really necessary Talon?

I have had no probs with the portal, I log in, sit there for a sec, then I portal once and I'm back on GS.

I got a crap computer but a very nice connection, however I'm still half a worl away from the server.

I don't have any real problems with the portals except that I can only see my colored name for 1 sec before I get scanned. Amra, I think it's just cuz ur on dial-up

Ill do something about it next update.
I couldnt join with a player char when there were 44 players on the server, I got the invalid AC bug, so theres definitely something iffy in my scripting.

Nemesis raised a good point with me. Try removing colored names and set your IsPC to the proper value. This might help with the scanning.

I noticed that when using the shout channel when the name was changed from coloured I didn't get yellow shouts, which made ppl not care I guess.

I dunno why but my PMs whit maximised hp cant log in: "your character is not accepted because it has too feats"

There is a bug with Pale Masters when you de-level and re-level them. Only level once and if you make a mistake, start over.

unfortunately, these scans are a good way to bring "illegal" items that are way over the price limit in....this would have to be a two-man job but is doable *will need to tell Talon about this*

yeah I saw that there isn't any item lvl restriction on so if entering with a lvl 20 you should be able to use lvl 40 items.... crazy.

no, more than that
*had an Emote Crystal from another server: GatheringOfFriends <-mod running* and it wasn't removed till it went through Char Scan.....i'd like to test out to see if the item restrictions would still catch it......Talon, ya never on when i am

and at late times, there's no sents or DMs so.....someone could bring in Dmg Reduction gear and random the night away....

Thank you guys for the advice

I usually had 2 scans when I logged in whit my colored name chars
Actually I (or Talon maybe) have/has almost fixed my problem......1 freeze every 5-6 login

I can't say for sure but... I think that after portaling, on some occasions the character becomes plot. I've become plot at least twice already and I'm sure there are others who've also had this happen too.

I thought GodSpire already checked characters of items and stuff each time you log in?

The reason it double scans in most leto users is that you have color tags on your name and your ispc is set to 0 or 2. When logon to GS, it reloads your char, setting the ispc to 1.(original setting)

From there, its like its a different character, so The filter re scans your char. So for all of you that just want 1 scan, Take the colors tags off and voilÃƒ??? . Hope this helps.

I would call the remove of the colored names a side effect of the scan.

It isn't the reazon for the scans. Why else would a color name give 2 rejoins and no color name give 1 rejoins to scan.

*sometimes gets stuck in an endless scan loop* and i don't have colored tags, illegal stuff<-less the rules change 6seconds after i crash

But in that case I prolly should have made it caps all way through, it was more like OMG I HATE THAT, that sorta thing....
