summary:

1) no, bioware is not making NWN2.
2) obsidian is making NWN2.
3) most of biowares games are being turned over to obsidian. (KotOR to name one)
4) 2006 is the current release date

Actually Bioware IS involved in development of NWN2. They will be working closely with Obsidian Entertainment (formerly Black Isle).

Bioware and Former black isle obsidian will be working together with some of nwn and icewind dales old graphic engineers and such. the due date is 2006,the AI is what they have been working on since day one, all henchmen wil soon be much better AI ways, and the graphics will be amazing.ummm what else...ah yes, they are going to try to switch ur chars from hordes into the new ruleset sumhow, but they dunno how theyre gonna do it. whole article on websitesd and pcgamer magazine. *breaths*

I heard about the first NWN a good two years before it came out. Now i have to sweat out another 2 (or more likey more) for the sequel. Anyone got a notion as to what kind of system you'll need to run it? I have a feeling we will all need new machines to play it.

There are alot of new things going on. The leveling system is being tossed around in the forums, which I am a member of, and there are a million proposed ways, like taking it back to lvl 20 and have 5 sub levels for each level. It is interesting, we will have to wait and see whats next.
