Well, "forum" is equivalent to "section" in the context meant here.

The forum is often called the board. The board has categories, under the categories are the forums/sections, under the forums/sections are the sub-forums. It really doesn't matter what you call what usually, because people can usually figure it out without a hitch. I call forums sections all the time and then sometimes call the forums forums instead of sections. But it doesn't hurt to be specific if you mean something specific. Like you used "section" so I interpreted it as "forum" not "sub-forum." But either way my reply would've been the same anyhow.

So what you were really asking for was sub-forums to the computer forum. But those really aren't necessary either. The computer forum covers it all just fine I think, as it is vague. It does not have a million posts in it yet and I doubt the sub-forums for it would get enough posts to even make it worth having them as sub-forums. I would suggest just making your topics and what not under the computer forum and if alot of OS topics pop up over time, then maybe Mo will consider it later on when it happens and perhaps add a sub-forum for them all at that time.

I mean, your idea is a good one and I like it, don't get me wrong. I just don't think it's necessary because of the amount of use they would probably have and what not. That sort of thing would seem more proper for a board actually based on tech stuff and computers, rather than one that's rather general like LM is.

No use? "If you build it, they will come"

There was no use for many things that are in common use today. But it doesnt matter.

If you start a topic they will come also.  So instead of wasting time in this topic start an interesting one about your custom OS installs. :P
