The Wyvern Crown of Cormyr
« on: May 26, 2006, 12:45:37 PM »
Looks like I was wrong about Infinite Dungeons being the "secret project" that DLA has been working on. The mod The Wyvern Crown of Cormyr will be available in mid-July and the download looks to be about 1 Gig. However, the good news is that though it started as a Premium Module, it will be free!

Now that they are no longer under NDA, Steel_Wind, project lead for DLA, spoke about their module "The Wyvern Crown of Cormyr" which will offer over 20 hours of gameplay and will have fully rideable horses, a Tir Na Og tileset (TNO) that is the largest tileset ever built for NWN, official or otherwise.

The good news is that they are planning on releasing it in Mid-July. The better news is that it will be free. Yes, totally free despite first starting out as a premium module.

Good since premium modules aren't worth paying for.

Hmm, free 'premuim mod'? Looks like it's got some cool stuff, but i'll probebly pass due to the size as it would  almost wipe out my tiny 2GB Dl limit [or Dl it at the end of the month, would still take about 10 hours to DL  <_< ]

or spend that $7.99 on something worthwhile, like a pet rock.
My PS3 Game Library:
Call of Duty 4, Guitar Hero 3, Mirrors Edge, Motor Storm, Resistance 2, Rock Band 2, Soul Calibur 4, Valkyria Chronicles

I'd rather save that $8 add it to another $8 later, and buy a CD or something. Money is money, and when it comes to premium mods, I've played free submitted ones that are better. There may be a good one or two, but not the ones I played. Besides, even if they were better than the others, there is a whole site full of free ones to try yet. You can find some really neat mods. I've downloaded and played lots and lots ofem.

"...on Friday May 5 in the afternoon - that's the Friday immediately before E3 was to begin and his people were out of the office at Bio Ware, Atari called to tell Bio Ware they were stopping the premium mod program and not authorizing any further patches for NWN1. The live team was disbanded and our mod will not be sold."

Yeah, I wouldn't put too much stock in a quote from someone who doesn't know the name of the company they are talking about.
