Since I've seen people on GodSpire and it being back up this topic has come up several times.  I would like to see GodSpire back to the look when there was that greenish fog in the air....ah ok after that when it was clear seeing but the one Hall and two healing lights was a far more comfortable size even though mage duels were a pain.

Even still I'm so happy GodSpire is back I thought I'd have to wait for NWN2 to see some of the people from GodSpire.  Can't wait to all the regulars there.

I voted to revert to the pre-Xen GodSpire, too bad there was no "twist Xen's nipple" option to vote for!

Well as much as I appreciate the attention GodSpire has and always will have.  It is currently highly unlikely (I am only saying that because i do not like to say impossible) that the old Halls will return.  I do not have a backup of that version, plus if I were to get one from say Talon, it would be incompatible with the database system I set up when i took over hosting.

Well, that kills that idea.

Another question. Who will be making the new GodSpire when NWN 2 is released? I know Xen mentioned him doing it a long time ago. Again, a long time ago, I know the idea of Talon doing it was thrown around. I know Mo said he wanted to play on a RP server when NWN 2 is realieased, though I see Mo as the logical choice.

Voted old... but HeLL, even if you can't revert, then change the current. Doesn't have to be like the old halls, but I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult to get close. There's just too much the way it is, aman is pointless, and the halls are too big.

Well, so far its unanimous, Mo, we want the old halls back...all that really needs to be done is kill the area between the halls and shores and turn the halls back to its original state. you have all the scripts there so i dont see why it'd be hard, and if you dont want to, 420 or Throbble or I or a whole list of other people would be willing to just make the area itself for you so you'd only have to insert a few placeables.

I see 2 votes to keep.  So can't see how you can say unanimous.

Sure, but im just happy GodSpire is back. I thought it would be easy as loading a differnt modual, but it isnt. I don't think it fair to ask anyone to make changes when NWN 2 is only like 3 months away (or soemthing close) and I dont forsee any sizable server traffic.

I really don't think I'll have much to do with the construction of a GS2.  I'd be more than happy to host it however, if a host will be needed.

420 and Gin seem to have their own projects. Talon is fairly well unassociated with us anymore. I guess its up to Xen or the first person to steal the name.

If someone steals the name, I will be pissed off.  Elros didn't even use the name Godspire when he made his own HoTU module to replace the SoU GodSpire he was hosting.  I definitely didn't use the name when I made my own HoTU module (points to anyone who remembers that module) using the ruleset Talon and I discussed.  I'm definitely not a skilled enough builder to ever make a module named Godspire.  It did take me HOURS to build that Team Arena from scratch and it had a lot of bugs to work out lol.  Talon had told me he could make it in 30 mins heheh.  Anyway, we'll have to wait and see.  I see Talon online sometimes.  I ask him what his intentions are.

Last time I spoke to Talon I think he was thinking of making a Godspire server in another D&D related game...I can't remember which though...something to do with dragons I think...

Dragon Age is the upcoming Bioware title

Throbble and I have no plans for NWN2 so we are both available to help build/script GodSpire for NWN2. If Talon (or Elros for that matter) returns to build/host a NWN2 module then that would be best case senario.

If not, we will be happy to collaborate with Mo to bring GodSpire to NWN2. Mo can host and has worked with Talon over the years to refine GodSpire's current ruleset. Throbble and I can handle all the scripting (and area design if required).
