I have a question about this. Does the handbook need to have some example builds?

Also where do we submit them?

Aint this whole contest a little bit hypocritical?
Some sents had to wait over two years to get that position and now you are offering that same position to someone who just needs to have some retorical/writting capability and a small knowledge of nwn PvP building

no offence, but in my eyes that no sent... <_<

Well, although it is your server to do with as you please:

1) Sometimes it is best to help the newb in the *slightest* way possible-or they'll use the book for every little thing they do for a *long* time.

2) You're giving out a position to someone who can write a few lines of "Here's a build. Use it." that matches someone that waited about a year to get that position.

3) If you're making someone an SIT for being able to write informative essays, you might as well make me a sent and let me random everyone. I mean, seriously.

didn't go into donig stuff about khad's book, but I checked Brior's and it's mostly just explaining what is also said in nwn manual.

The stuff that's important for new players to learn is how skills affect their char, +50skill on items is max, tumble doesn't give ac when it isn't base, has to be chosen while lvling. AC types, dmg types, ability points - where do they all go and why. 20 dex will give an extra 5ab for a dexer, 21 gives no extra bonus, but it increases by one every even number.

AB increasement for each class and what ab should be to hit another player. 1d20 based game! AB is in char sheet +1d20 also on skill rolls.
What applies to AC.

After explaining this a new player can learn how to play, giving away a build to a person who doesn't understand why they aren't hitting with 50ab won't help. There are certain things these ppl need to learn and that's the basics.

I'll be done in a while... eventually... some time.

That was fast.  I'll take a look at the books.  You can always resubmit if you like.  like i said before you might want to upload to ftp to avoid someone stealing any of your ideas.

Contest will be open a week or so to allow for a lot of submissions.

ah, but u can't make a book geared SPECIFICALLY towards the lvl 40s, you must be able to make a general book that suits all lvls ;)

My contribution. :P

"Sit comfortably, preferably in a quiet place.

Close your eyes.

Breathe naturally.

Sit for about one minute, breathing slowly.

Recite the following phrase in your mind: I am a good, leveled and controlled NWN-player. This phrase is known as a mantra and is used as a way of relaxing your thoughts and focusing inwards.

Concentrate on your breathing, and begin to repeat the mantra.

Allow your thoughts and feelings to be present. Donâ??t try to resist them but just be aware of them while you keep on slowly repeating the mantra. You will probably begin to relax more and more as you breathe. Slowly and slowly repeat the mantra in time with your breathing.

Build up to 20 minutes a day, starting with 5 minutes. When you have completed your allocated time, take a minute to slowly open your eyes, and begin to breathe less deeply. Then move slowly into the Halls of the Ilºvatar."
How do you spot a CM-player in GodSpire?

Simple. Look for the only player that's not sidestepping all over the place.

Ok.

Contest will close this Tuesday at midnight EST.

At which time, everyone who would like to make a submission will enter their books into the Godspire library under PvP information.

I will then open up a poll and the community will vote on the books.
I will have veto rights over the poll, but will mot likely follow its outcome.
