Well, I've never played D&D so that doesn't tell me too much^^; Is there a plot of anysort? What do you do in the single player game? Are the servers only the ones you described or is there a regular mmo server too? Like I said, I've only heard of the game. I really don't know anything about it^^;

1) NwN's combat system is based off DnD. DnD is the most popular RPG fantasy game out for the last 20+ years. It's quite a tried and tested systtem. In melee you can build almost any tiype of character you lie: shapeshifter, sneaker, assassin, barbarian, paladin, dragon descendant - and mix and match as you like.. so ile you can be 10% sneaker, 30% assassin and 40% dragon descendant. DnD has also the best spellcasting pvp out in any mmorpg atm. Nwncapures all this. If you like spells, you will not have experienced the best until you play nwn.
2) SP campaign has a plot. Also, there are hundreds/thousands even of custom made SP mods on nwvault.com made by the player community. There is even a Monty Python Holy Grail mod..., a Discworld mod and one called "Sex and the SIngle Adventuress" (okok if that take sur fancy)
3) MP servers usually have a plot if it is an adventure server. Then you adventure with whichever advwnturers happen to drop into the server.
4) NWN is the deepest and richest of any mmorpg and rpg out now. This is becaus eof the toolset. The toolset lets you make your own items and look for your character. NWN is the only rpger/mmorpg out now which lets you start at max level if you so wish in multiplayer. Want to start as the most awesome max level mage? Sure! Be happy there are lots of other most awesome max level mages out to hunt you too.. that is, if you play in a pvp allowed server (say about 50% of servers are enabled).
5) NWN is the ONLY mmoprg/rpg which lets you actually be Dungeon Master (=DM). This is bascially where you are the administrator for the mod. Ever want to run your own EQ server and spawn monsters for you players? NWN lets you do this.
6) Some say NWN is not an mmorpg. But NWN has 7000-9000 players online at any time time. NWN is a whole serie sof realms/servers, each realm/server having a maximum of 64 players on at the same time. You as a realm traveller can travel to any server you wish. And NWN has the largest number of dedicated server types: PvP, Team PvP, Adventure, Social, RP, Story, even Card Game servers... No other mmorpg has this level of specialisation.
So why pay for 1 game when NWN lets you have hundrds of different games? Yeah.. that's why i like nwn the most.
