Online Alignment Test
« on: September 30, 2004, 02:05:16 AM »
In the spirit of RPGing here is a fun little test to find out your alignment. It's all official 3E D&D and can be used to fit an alignment to a new D&D character's personality or you can find out what your alignment is in real life (whatever that is).

Online Alignment Test

I took the test as myself and got Neutral Good! Who would have thought? I always saw myself as a little more Chaotic personaly.

Neutral Good

A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. The common phrase for neutral good is "true good." Neutral good is the best alignment you can be because it means doing what is good without bias toward or against order.

poop i dout anyone would get anything other then NG (if there doing it based on what there like in rl)

every one of the alignments say they'd be the best to be...

Lawful Good

A lawful good character acts as a good person is expected or required to act. She combines a commitment to oppose evil with the discipline to fight relentlessly. She tells the truth, keeps her word, helps those in need, and speaks out against injustice. A lawful good character hates to see the guilty go unpunished. Lawful good is the best alignment you can be because it combines honor and compassion.

Lawfull Evil.

Seems I care too little for the people around myself.
Silent screaming, you're on your own
Balancing on a blade
Between what's right and what is wrong
Don't loose your faith, don't sit there in silence
Show your strength, let's hail the metal Gods,
Bare your heart

Aww this test is crap

Based on your answers to the quiz, your characterÃ????s most likely alignment is Chaotic Evil.

Chaotic Evil

A chaotic evil character does whatever his greed, hatred, and lust for destruction drive him to do. He is hot-tempered, vicious, arbitrarily violent, and unpredictable. If simply out for whatever he can get, he is ruthless and brutal. If he is committed to the spread of evil and chaos, he is even worse. Thankfully, his plans are haphazard, and any groups he joins or forms are poorly organized. Typically, chaotic evil people can only be made to work together by force, and their leader lasts only as long as he can thwart attempts to topple or assassinate him. The demented sorcerer pursuing mad schemes of vengeance and havoc is chaotic evil. Chaotic evil is sometimes called "demonic" because demons are the epitome of chaotic evil. Chaotic evil is the most dangerous alignment because it represents the destruction not only of beauty and life but of the order on which beauty and life depend.

wow im the first lawful neutral

but lookie at this i tink i contradicted myself lol
What is the best use of wealth?

To help the destitute and less fortunate-my answer
Provide for the needs of friends and family
To stay on top of the heap yourself
To not only stay on top, but keep others from climbing to your level

When confronted by beggars, do you:

Give generously
Give moderately
Give only what I wouldn't miss anyway -- a copper or two at most
Ignore them as you walk by- my answer

all well here's my description:

Lawful Neutral

A lawful neutral character acts as law, tradition, or a personal code directs him. Order and organization are paramount to him. He may believe in personal order and live by a code or standard, or he may believe in order for all and favor a strong, organized government. The common phrase for lawful neutral is "true lawful." Lawful neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you are reliable and honorable without being a zealot.

Man I'd view myself as a bit more chaotic too. But I think in RL I'm a bit more relaxed than my internet life I suppose. Though sometimes I think I push neutral too. I think Neutral good is the outcome of most. And Cab I think you lied about yours.

As we venture forth into these dark times, brave souls will fall and heroes will live to carry the light of hope forward, into the future. In the end all shall perish into flames and ash. Have heart, for from the ashes shall be born anew, an age that will outshine all others. With the dawning of this new time, all shall look to the sky and see hope laying amongst the the sun's rays.

Lawful Neutral

Those questions were slightly strange though, some of the questions such as;

there is a plague blah blah would you;

a) go on a dangerous mission to find a cure,
B) run
c) etc.

now obviously A is the 'good' answer, but how can anyone know what they would do in the situation! most of the questions were ok though (i.e. applicable to RL)

p.s. i said i would avoid contact with the diseased (hey im trying not to be pretentious here!) :)

Based on your answers to the quiz, your character?s most likely alignment is Chaotic Neutral.

Chaotic Neutral

A chaotic neutral character follows his whims. He is an individualist first and last. He values his own liberty but doesn?t strive to protect others? freedom. He avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. The chaotic neutral character does not intentionally disrupt organizations as part of a campaign of anarchy. To do so, he would have to be motivated either by good (and a desire to liberate others) or evil (and a desire to make those different from himself suffer). The common phrase for chaotic neutral is "true chaotic." Remember that the chaotic neutral character may be unpredictable, but his behavior is not totally random. He is not as likely to jump off a bridge as to cross it. Chaotic neutral is the best alignment you can be because it represents true freedom both from society?s restrictions and from a do-gooder?s zeal.

geesh they sound so harsh >.<

Lawful Evil for me

"These characters believe in using society and its laws to benifit themselves. Structure and organization elevate those who deserve to rule as well as provide a clearly defined hierarchy between master and servant. To this end, lawful evil characters support laws and societies that protect their own concerns. If someone is hurt or suffers because of a law that benifits lawful evil characters, too bad. Lawful evil characters obey laws out of fear of punishment. Because they may be forced to honor an unfavorable contract or oath they have made, lawful evil characters are usually very careful about giving their word. Once given, they break their word only if they can find a way to do it legally, within the laws of the society. An iron-fisted tyrant and a devious, greedy merchant are examples of lawful evil beings."

This reminds me of a personality test I took to work at a chain resturaunt called TGI Friday's.
A lot of people said it was a lie detector test but really it checks how consistant you are with your personal and professional life. I managed to get a 30 out of 50 because telling the difference whether or not they are asking what you would do in your personal life or during work was not clear.

So a question like:
If your car broke down would you call a mechanic first or a friend?

Then they ask the same question but word it different:
During a lunch rush you're over come with work do you ask for help or handle it on your own?

There really isn't any failing these tests it just determines your ability to answer consistantly.

And yes I did get the job. :P

Neutral

A neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. She doesn?t feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Most neutrality is a lack of conviction or bias rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such a character thinks of good as better than evil. After all, she would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones. Still, she?s not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way. Some neutral characters, on the other hand, commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. They see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. They advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run. The common phrase for neutral is "true neutral." Neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you act naturally, without prejudice or compulsion.

I guess...

Whatever. <_<
