Am downloading Lineage 2 now (80% done)

I think im going to install L2 and give it a try on a craked server.

I dont know if anyone here has played on the official servers but i had a feew questions.. :-
1)How many people on one official server at one time?
2)Are the wars really big?
3)Do players do anything else besides team pvp?
4)Can I level up to max instantly or will i have to play there for 6 months?
5)Does server admin change the nature of gameplay often? (ie: is it a settled team pvp balance or is it still changing all the time like Anarchy Online...)

I might buy the game if it is really good...
I guess ill soon go asking for some private server lists.

Gashmo, IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE SERVER ADMIN.

Oh, and if you're downloading it from a torrent, the fuzz is afta' you! Not to mention those girl bodygaurds in the swiss alps... :P

thansk celestial, ill be careful..

i think you could be right about the server admin. i just read this website which has lots of derogatory comments about L2's official server : http://rr.pc.ign.com/rr_obj/479/479719.html

Full of asian speaking mobs who dominate the game like triads and are extortionists who sell their plunder on ebay.

Is it true? Does L2's official server sux after all?

What are people's experiences like on the official server? It is a shame that the koreans have shown themselves to be so unpleasant..

The point about cracked servers is that GM's give everything you want, that means that even the noobs have Godsword (best sword) and that makes it boring...

That makes it pointless if everyone gets godsword immediately.....
even more pointless if there is only one indisputably best sword :/
At least in nwn we have many types of weapons which are "best"


But what make sit really a pain in official mmorpg servers would be a community of extortionists and campers :/
Then the character of the world is dominate dby that. Yuck.

A few hours later after you have slained some monsters.

Yo, Gm you have Pegasus armor for me? (best armor)

GM: Sure, *drops Pegasus armor on the ground*

Ok, that just sucks, and the problem is you dont have ability/level requirments for items.... they really shoud've added that..... makes the game better... :P

Ok WoW - great visuals but no nice anime type girls
Guildwars - the screenshots look nice but.. what do you guys think?
Ragnarok - ok too much anime.
Phantasy Star Online - best animation i have ever seen yet.

I must learn korean now!! just to play L2.....

:Its all english
:best drop rate nice and balensed
:GMs wont give you a thing
:Has some c2 stuff ie striders
:big player base 1500odd

But its down for now wile thay upgrade it

2. yeah..heh..theyre pretty big
3. a better question: do players do anything besides grind and pvp once every two weeks?
4. if you are really really fast...you MIGHT hit max in a year. normal players will hit level 75 if they grind all the time and dont make any alts in 2-3 years.
