Yeah, that's probably why the first chapter in the Planescape Trilogy will be done 2 months after NWN2's release. Hell I may skip the Official Campaign all together.

Alright, with the imminent release of the 1.03 patch ("early next week") which will make it possible to see item values in the toolset it's time to talk about what this thread is for. The rules of GodSpire 2!

I suggest we go back to pre-expansion NWN GodSpire rules which are as follows (please correct if any of this is wrong):

Property Limits
Max AB/Enhancement per item: +5
Max AC per item: +5
Max Ability: +10*
Max Skill: +20**
Max Saves: +20***
Freedom
True Seeing
Haste

*Ability Score Note: Ability score item properties no longer stack, since +10 is the most you can put on a single item and still be useable at level 20 the new limit is +10 instead of +12.

**Skill Note: Skills stack across items, the current limit is +50 but I believe pre-expansion only allowed a max of +20

***Saves Note: I haven't tested this but I think Cold Master's items have stacking saves, I assume the limit, as it has always been, is 20.

Property Restrictions
All standard banned properties as listed in the GS forum sticky: Link

Disclaimer: Keep in mind, these are only suggestions based on pre-expansion GS rules and the current limitations of item properties (ie ability scores not stacking). The views presented here are not the opinion of Talon or GodSpire or its parent company Stunted Moose LLC.

There's one that lets them cast spells while in wildshape.

Yeah, and with all the new cool druid spells they might actually be a threat! No more will we have to worry about Druid/Monk dragons with 100s of AC and AB, we'll have to worry about Call lightning and storm avatar! hehehehehe

Plus, with the time required to make a moduel for NWN2, AND forcing every user to download a .pwc file to even play on a server will give most of us plenty of time to adjust to the new toolset (I still can't figure out how to color armor :/)

Clearly you have never seen a real Druid. Like Talons druid builds for example. They are more than "Threatening"

Well, I just built a druid and here is what we now need to worry about:

1. Turtle Shell - Massive boost to natural armor (stacks with all non-spell natural armor)

2. Casting in wildshape form - dire badger got my HP from 180 to 300 and a boost to my AC (haven't tested it with equipment yet)

3. Storm Avatar (level 8) - Immune to missle weapons and knockdown

4. Body of the Sun (level 2) - Like elemental shield except doesn't protect from elements but does big damage to all nearby enemies (esp with maxed)

5. Creeping Doom - 'nuff said

There are a ton of awesome new druid spells that aren't listed in the manual so you just have to build one and see for yourself.

Forget about this. Just tested with item and it looks like the properties on my helm carry over and nothing else. Wildshape severly weakens you in PvP it seems. (Unless your PvPing with no gear.)

Not true 420. I did tests with my pure caster druid that I made a while back, the level 9 shapechange spell the druids have make it worthwhile. The Horned Devil form is by far the best, giving you bonus health, ac, and etc. Also feats enabling casting inside shape work for that spell along with the immunity to critical hits/sneak attacks, paralysis, etc spell they get. Also even with Turtle Shell being fixed, we have the +7 elephant hide feat to look forward to which also carries into Shapechange form and stacks with all non-spell natural armor increase. So throw the +9 out for +7. Still high enough. I believe I reached around 63 AC with Horned Devil shape... also add ICE and you have 69 Armor. Untouchable almost even to the 54ish AB TSers. Yay for imba druids, perhaps? They also have plenty of new spells that let them go toe to toe with mages and also fighters, and they added some more spells that just do damage and ignore your resistances. Divine, etc. Yay for spell spamming goodness!

I haven't tested the Shapechange spell yet, I was just talking about the Wild Shape and Elemental Shape feats.

So, the casting in wild shape feat works for the shapechange spell? Very interesting, I'll do some testing tomorrow.
