Demilich Skin: Allowed or not?
« on: June 18, 2005, 07:02:36 PM »
So is it allowed or not? Should it be allowed or not? IMO, it shouldn't due to the difficulty in clicking on it due to its size.

It should'nt be no I dont think so, far too small. But if it floats high enough it should be the right creature size, nonetheless, I consider it a 1 and in my opinion no halfling or human etc. is in that size range.

Halflings Gnomes, size 2, humans half-orcs, elves, half-elves, dwarves size 3

I think NWN treats the demilich creature model as a "medium" sized creature. So even though it is hard to target it doesn't gain any AB/AC bonus.

Well am I wrong in believing that when you log on with the Demi-lich skin you are auto booted?  I think thats the way it used to be working at least.

Sorry Mo, but it seems you can join with the Demilich skin, saw Sonicle with it when i originally posted this question. Which is one reason i brought it up.

Well if you aren't booted with it then technically it's allowed. Unless everyone wants to make it an illegal skin.  Let me know what everyone thinks.

I seem to remember discussing this issue with Talon and we came to the conclusion that as long as it was considered a medium size creature, it being hard to target wasn't enough reason to ban the skin. However, as always, Talon would consider not allowing the demilich skin if enough players complained about it.

I personally think that if the demilich skin is banned because it is hard to target then all dragons should be banned because they are too easy to target, which can interfere with nearby duels. So, I say, this is D&D (Demilichs and Dragons), lets keep it that way!

I've had people change skins from Demilich because I thought it was too small but if it's the size of a head then it doesn't follow the rule of having a torso and pelvis.

Is it classified as meduim in order to appear a certain height off the ground?
