AS for the trouble ? No problem at all! But I think master Xen will have to delete the server entry he made for you.

Anyhow, time to go look for some other good mmorpg to poke around in...

Well... Yes, killing can be fun, in a particular way...

However, on the server I've had access to, it has been a bit mindless, powergamer-like... I guess I'm too much of a roleplayer for that kind of... uh, players...

I've lagged out of the server sevral times already... Seemingly, it's neither the best place, conenction wise, nor the best place for someone like me.. As the power scale seem a bit... uhh.. In the players favour...

@Xen: ALT-Enter changes the windowed mode.

I know it may seem futile, but I persistantly keep trying to connect to Summit's server :)

A decent idea, if I am to say so myself. I shallt go there also, and.. uh, try things out.

This game seems to have great untapped potential... Just like a uncooked potato...

Eledgedly, you should just be able to type in a new account anme and password on the login screen, and press log in. The server should then automatically create your account. Simple, as that :)

Done testing and familiarizing: Firest impressions; wow.

Actually, yes, I can join the server commie posted, but, of unknown reasons, I'd much rather be palying at your server (Maybe it's because I'll be more "even" with others that way.

I'd dare say that the problem lies in your end, mate. Prehaps check the port forwarding, and, as Talon suggested check that the external IP in the .ini is correct, and not the internal one.

I know this may sounds odd, but I am, as it is, only trying to help.

In that case; Prehaps it would be better to move this topic into the category?

Anyway, I'll try to familiarize myself with the game's workings.

@Xen: Approximately 4 or 5 hours, on a 512/512 cable modem connection.

Done that. It still fails to connect, it seems.

Curiously, I tried using your multiclient to connect to a server posted at spydies, by commie.

Seemed to work out better (I will not say fine...) as it at elast allowed me to enter the game.

Still not working, it seems.

If you need a pinpoint description of the problem, as it is:

First off, I installed Lineage II into C:\Programmer\Lineage 2\ (Default Path)

After that, I launched the updater, and after it was done updating, cancel'ed out of it. Following this, I went to http://www.spydies.net and downloaded your (Summit's) multiclient lancher. I then added the .ini you posted to the game, as: C.\Programmer\Lineage 2\System\Summits\l2.ini

After adding the .ini and the name of it to the multiclient program, I launch the game via it. Seemingly, it works fine. I enter a ID and a PSW, and press log in.

Nothing happens.

Seemingly, I cannot even get an error message from the  "log in" procedure...

Any thoughts?

Agreed.

Hosting a server cannot be a easy task. And, from what I've been able to deprive from the internet, the amount of available host programs are quite limited.

Also, the autoupdate takes annoying long to complete...

This appears to be worth a try... Will download the two last parts of the client before going to bed, then download the first part tomorrow (Which is actually today, but nevertheless...)

Why start with the latter? Because I'm weird...

Mordenkainen... I havn't got time for a long explaination, but he's the most powerful mage in the Greyhawk universe... Sort of like Elminster in Forgotten Realms.

Another fun change to make would be to include the DnD touch attacks that can be made from within a Metil's Acid Sheath.

Random Ranting / Your favorite car...
« on: September 27, 2004, 04:32:18 PM »
Some nice cars here, that I must admit. However, there seem to be a trend of favouring the american cars (Probably because the majorety of the posts are made by namely one, american...)

Alias, my contribution: The Honda S2000, long time favorite car of mine.

It comes with a 240-hp, 2,2 liter (Making it an amazing 109 hp. per liter), 16 valve DOHC Honda VTEC engine, and all the assceories assosiated with modern comfort. It might not look like much, but it is my favourite, nevertheless.

Also worth mentioning; It prizes in at 32 grand. (US)

I must admit that I listen mostly to bands like... Crematory,  Muse, The 69 eyes, Nightwish, Rob Zombie, Gun's 'n roses, Hammerfall, Blind Guardian, Iron Maiden, MotÃ???Ã??Ã?¶rhead and Moonspell... To sum up some...
I guess the overall style is Metal...

A humble suggestion would be to use premission masks, and temporarily assign the leader of the clan the ability to set/unset these masks.

Random Ranting / How AOL ruined the Internet
« on: August 29, 2004, 03:33:36 PM »
*shrugs* Prehaps it's worth mentioning that AOL's goal was to make the internet a place where people could have a good time. Not everyone has the need to use the internet 10 hours a day. Although I'm not an american (and thus shouldn't even be writing this...) I think it has helped modernize the americans.

And, regarding the way of speaches you talk about... I must say, I'm suprised that danish girls are even able to pass their examns, due to the directly horrid language they use in their "texts" and such. I belive that the cellular phone would have done the same to peoples typing habbits, as the internet, presumably, has.

*grumbels* Also, it might be worth mentioning that 90% of the worlds population cosists of "ignorant" people.

Random Ranting / What system specs. do you currently have?
« on: August 12, 2004, 12:35:00 PM »
@Who the man:

My computer has been upgraded from a fabric made one (By a danish company called MyCom). The newest addition is a papst 92x92 fan, mounted just above my graphic's card. In case your intersted, I'm currently pondering wether to buy a new case, or upgrade to a faster HDD, as my old one is slowly leaking behind. Due to poor formating  and defragmentation. (Damn FAT file systems...)

Uh, a wee bit misleading title, but I could not come up with anything more appropriate at the current time. As maybe indicated though, I have felt a poke of curiosity, and thus would like to know what system you are currently using to play games, not NWN in particular, with. This is not meant as a Ã????MY computer is bigger and more badass than yours!Ã???? thread, so, please, keep objective.

I think the things of relevancy here are; CPU (Central processing unit), Graphic's card, RAM (Random Access Memory) {amount, type and manifacturer should do...) Motherboard, sound card and anything I might have forgotten of any relevance.

Nicely listed, it should look a bit like this:

CPU: Intel Pentium 4, at 2,68 ghz.
Graphic's Card: PNY Nvidia Geforce 6 6800 Ultra, 256 mb.
Motherboard: SiS (Sillicon Integrated Systems) SiS645
RAM: 512 mb. Corsair Value PC2700, and 512 mb PC2700 noname memory... (Suprisingly, there IS no name on the block...)
Sound Card: Onboard on Motherboard (Realtek AC97 audio)
Other: Alright, I forgot the Harddisk... A 80 GB SATA150 Maxtor HD, with Fluid bearing motors...

I hope I woun't get flamed for this...

NwN General / maxing HP
« on: July 26, 2004, 02:29:48 PM »
oh, pardon me, but I use a cleverly made little program... It's called MaxHP. it works by, that you, from your localvault folder, drag and drop your character on top of the binary executeable, which will then max roll your character, and place it back in your localvault folder. Notice that it also increases the suffixed number by 1.
