Difference b/w military families in the US.. and
« on: December 09, 2004, 11:43:45 AM »
As i recalled watching all the favourite military/CIA type hollywood movies (top gun,  total recall, true lies, sum of all fears etc), I also remembered perceiving a deep difference between the live sof US families with a long military tradition and those, of the rest of us.

For example, a US military family might have a grandad who was a major general, a father who was a 3 star general, a son who is a west point star cadet, another son who is a marine, and anothe rson who is in the US Secret Service protecting the president etc...

Then there are the rest of us. Thos military types seem to lead very different lives.

Anyone in the US come from or know of such military families? Can you comment on the way they are different? It's just conversation for fun.. but it is an interesting sociological observation to make..
