Yeah I read that article a couple days ago.
I would have been surprised if it wasn't for the fact that my scout troop had to constantly pick up empty shell casings and repair holes in our scout cabin because it was constantly being shot at with M-16s by army assholes during training.
You give someone a bunch of cool weapons, train them to kill strangers without remorse and then turn them loose, you better expect stuff like that.
Oh, little advice: If you are a female and like to jog at night, do not move to Monterey unless you don't mind being jumped by Marines and stabbed multiple times.
