I hate my com

is there some1 there can help a silly girl like me , my danm com dont work.... the problem is that the butten i use 2 turn my com on and of dont work??   so now i gotta use my bro`s com and that is uncool

I have this problem, I spilled a full beer down the front of my computer about 2 years ago. Now the on/off button sticks. I have tried to file it down and apply graphite but it continues to stick sometime when I try to turn my computer on or off!!!

Anyway, usually the on/off button stops working for only a few reasons:

- Your surge protector is turned off
- Your computers Power Supply is busted
- The button itself has become disconnected from the motherboard (check for loose wires)

If it's a laptop, well, you're screwed because it's really tough to service laptops yourself.

I once had that the activating mechanical thing behind the button went next to the place where it should be. So it kinda didn't respond when you pushed the button.

Somethimes you just wanne do this ->  :crash:  isn't it?
At the moment my computer are nice, only a bit screwed up windows on one of them.
I better set a linux on it, but I'm lasy, installing linux and making nwn and all the rest running on it is a lot of work. But, linux and opensource software are just better 'comercial-closed-source' stuff like windows.
