Answer me this - Has Kerry urged congress to go to war under the grounds of national security, saying it was harboring terrorists, then changed his story to weapons of mass destruction, then changing it to just plain "liberation" when none of the others were discovered?

By the way Cab, Clinton even said Saddam had WMD's. If he didn't why didn't he just let the inspectors come and see that they were there? Why did 14 UN resolutions need to be passed?

If I were you, I'd be more worried on where he's sent them.

It's really simple. If you support the war, then you should have no problem enlisting, or having your children enlist into the military. End of story.

You wanted a war, that's fine...back up those words with some action and take a plane to Iraq. Yes, go off and fight for the rich. So that they can make a profit off your untimely death (or mutilation, loss of limbs etc.). I'm sure you're demise will come up in a casual conversation between two fat oilers, as they discuss how much money Bush saved them today, with his tax cuts for the rich, all the while sending your poor, misled ass into hell without even so much as a "thank you for protecting America's freedom, so that we can continue to get fatter".

No thank you. I'm staying right here.

So by your standards, if you don't go to the war you're not supporting it?  That's pretty much a draft.  Hasn't happened for a while buddy.

Bzk, how is what I said, in any way, similar to the dreaded draft?

The draft is a way to *force* individuals to fight in a war. Agree - disagree with the war, doesn't matter...if you get drafted your ass belongs to the military.

IMO, If you're able to serve your country, and by this I mean being *healthy* (healthy by the military's standards) enough to serve in active duty, and you agree with sending others your age, or younger, to risk thier lives in a war which you support - then you should be willing to risk your own life as well.

What, do you think you're better those in the military? You think you don't have to fight in a war you wanted?

Send off the poor, the 'bottom of the barrel' of society to fight in your war, while you sit comfortably on your couch, demanding that more be sent into Hell (Iraq). Pfft...you take an simple position in this. It's much easier to demand violence when you're relaxing in your recliner chair, a can of coke in one hand, a bag of chips in the other.

If you support the war, fight it.

PS. I love you BzK  :)

No.  Supporting something doesn't mean you have to be involved in it... some people are willing to risk their lives for it, some aren't.  What about the troops?  How are there so many that *do* support the war by being a part of it if it's so wrong to be there?  Think on that for a while.

By the way, let's look at terrorism.

Main Entry: ter???·ror???·ism
Pronunciation: 'ter-&r-"i-z&m
Function: noun
1 : the unlawful use or threat of violence esp. against the state or the public as a politically motivated means of attack or coercion

Saddam was unlawfully killing people just for his power.  I'd say that makes him a terrorist.

Something called the lesser of two evils.  I don't think the Iraqis give a s*** about international law, they're being freed from control of a regime controlled by a tyrant that would murder his own people.

*sigh* Ludo, I'm sorry to say but that was dumb =P

state
(noun) -
1. A body politic, especially one constituting a nation: the states of Eastern Europe.

(adj.)
1. Of or relating to a body politic or to an internally autonomous territorial or political unit constituting a federation under one government: a monarch dealing with state matters; the department that handles state security.
