New Monitor
« on: August 20, 2011, 07:54:35 PM »
Kinda shouldn't be spending money right now, but I seen a sweet deal on an Asus Monitor and had to buy it. Currently I have a 21.5 Inch Asus LCD, (recently acquired a dead pixel; not my reason for buying a new one) The one I just bought probably cost me about $80 more than I spent on this one, it's also Asus with a built in Webcam, LED-LCD display and it's a 27 inch. What's not to love? Plus, my wife has been wanting my monitor for a long time now, so now she gets it. lol.

It's almost "too big." Anybody else want one? It's on sale all weekend! :P

That's pretty sweet.  I really like my monitor.  It's 24'' but the key is it's 1920x1200.  No one makes screens with that resolution anymore.

lol I barely have the money for just the one and I am already pushing it. And anyway, it's as you said, "TV's all the way." Half of the time I'm using my TV (and often monitor at the same time) but when I am playing 360 I use my monitor for my computer whilst using the TV for the 360. That way I could be looking at a map and playing or something rather than switching sources on my TV all the time just to view the map and then switch back (had to do that for a short while at one point (the positioning of my chair had put me in a good spot for the TV but a ways from my monitor, making it too difficult to see it from where I was)).

P.S. On the note of TV's... *Sceptre all the way!*

P.S.S. I pretend to justify my actions in buying the monitor by saying the deal was irresistible and that my current monitor has developed a single dead pixel. *gasp* At least, this is what I plan to keep telling myself until I actually do believe these things justify it. :P

P.S.S.S. That TV Ivon linked to is $969. I hate when they pull that shit. It used to be where you had to add it to the cart to find out the price, now you have to get to the very last step of checkout just to find out. Ridiculous.

Ya, think it has to do with shipping and stuff.

Either way, not getting dual (yes, DUAL) TVs for monitors until my new "L-shaped" desk...finally gett'n rid of this dinky... 20" (viewable) TV.....that I turn on twice a week (Thundercats [reboot] & Adult Swim).
