There was an E3 trailer.  Looked very cool.  No word on a toolset.  Looks like a 2009 release.

I believe there is indeed a toolset with Dragon Age. Bioware's whole idea was to make a NWN style game without the limitations of D&D and WotC dictates.

Now, come on up to the 9AC legit PvP so I can kick your ass!

Georg Zoeller showed up at the NWNCon 4 scripting roundtable and gave us some info on Dragon Age.

Unfortunately, it's single player only. However, everything is now controlled through scripting from combat to any stat belonging to a creature. This means you have complete control over every aspect of the game through scripting.

Meh. I just don't see the point if it's single player.

Seems like its going to be awesome indeed. Unfortunately I'll have to settle for the PS3 version since my computer can barely run anything that came out after 2007

Going to pick it up later today...

Good job!  The console versions got good reviews also.  PS3 scored higher than 360.

Yeah, but it doesn't come with a toolset and it wasn't made by a company that makes multiplayer RPGs. I just think BioWare is taking a step backward with this decision.

Well if the game provides an excellent single player campaign then it's worth the price of admission in my opinion.  We'll have to wait for something else to satisfy our multiplayer needs.

So far so good.  The graphics are very nice and the dialogue and story are picking up nicely.  You can kind of understand why Bioware let go of DnD, they are free to go with their own story and vision while not being restricted by WoC.  The one thing missing because of this is the abundance of classes, races and skills available in DnD.  Dragon Age doesn't have many of these.  For example there's Human, dwarf and elf, warrior, mage and rogue.  Specializations can kinda of increase the amounts of classes but no where near the amount of say NWN2.

In any case this game has all the makings of an excellent RPG so I'm highly recommending it for those in the mood for a grade A single player campaign.

I'd rather wait until price drops and expansion releases. It always costs way more to purchase games right when they're released.

It's on my list, but like other games, I've no regrets about buying them later. Whereas some games that I've bought right away, I regret doing so.

What no screen shots?  What class did you pick?  What's the weapon selection like? Spells?   Where are my glasses? What's that funny sound my car makes?  Why are the clouds white?  Why can't we end world poverty? What kind of review is this?

Lol it's not a review.  If you want a proper review with screen shots you should head over to gamespot.com or similar.  I'm a human rogue, duel wielding iron daggers (which are more like short swords than daggers).  I'm going to choose the duelist specialization.  I'm still very early into the game so my experience with magic is still low, but from what I've seen there are many spells and they are quite powerful.  I'm playing on hard mode so I need to be careful of spell selection because friendly fire dmg is on.

The game takes automatic screen shots for you during key plot moments.  You can even upload them to Bioware's "social networking" site from within the game.

Here's a screen shot of my part who has just slain an ogre.  Ogres are more like demons than large green brutes.  This one was pretty strong, it could even pick up a person, crush them in one hand and bash them with the other for a crap load of dmg.  Killed me that way lucky my mage was able to bring him down from afar.

Here's another screen shot of me being recruited into the Grey Wardens.  The first screen shot is a view from the tactical camera, an isometric view we are familiar with from CRPGs.  The second is a behind the back camera.  Console versions of the game don't have the tactical camera.

You may want to wait for a Game of the Year edition that includes all the DLC. Apparently the first DLC was made before the game was released and it increases your inventory size and adds a party stash for even more storage. Lots of people are pissed that you have to pay extra money for expanded storage but BioWare seems to have adopted a nickel and dime strategy even though they abandoned the NWN DLC project.

Bioware set up personal profile pages for your main character persona's.  They are updated automatically, except screen shots aren't uploaded automatically.  Pretty cool none the less.  Here's mine.  I'm only about 40% through the game so far.

I see, I'm rolling through on casual, so there's no friendly fire.
