Money is a weakness as well, when people try to get what you have. Or abuse you because you have it.

Knowledge and intelligence are true power!

Galileo had knolledge and intelligence(I feel stupid repeating myself here) but he was powerless to change his fate.

See, money is power, the church had the money, they had the power, they canned Galileo!

Oh dear.

Galileo had money too.  FYI, he was a business man first.  He only invented the telescope because he saw a market for it.  He cashed in pretty handsomely with it too.  He noticed it's uses for military needs not for gazing at the planets.  Venice was pretty powerful military wise and being able to see enemy ships way before they can see you is pretty powerful stuff.  So he tried setting up a deal with Venice where he'd produce the telescopes and they'd pay him royalties for using them.  Residual income! Smart man.  I don't think his original business plan was accepted though.

It wasn't money that made the church powerful.  It was fear.  They gained wealth as a result of their power.

The sheriff's dept. didn't have the power to release her, the judge specifically ordered that she not be allowed to serve her sentence at home and she has already been called back into court.

No big deal, she's going back to jail and that sheriff's dept. is going to lose a few worthless assholes.

Bet she feels stupid for handing out blow-jobs now.

Thou art correct good sir.

Hilton back behind bars

I must say however, that it wouldn't surprise me if someone so sheltered and pampered like Ms. Hilton would collapse and die from this experience.  Falt her parents.
The judge is my hero.  No nonsense.  She had 4 lawyers representing her lol and he basically told them to bugger off. Love it.

EDIT: lol this is BREAKING NEWS now on cnn.com i love it!  Only in da USA

Screaming and crying, Paris Hilton was escorted out of a courtroom and back to jail Friday after a judge ruled that she must serve out her entire 45-day sentence behind bars rather than in her Hollywood Hills home.
Ah, a new addition for the quotes thread. Thanks Mo!

Actually, Razor. Knowledge and Intelligence are more powerful assets than money, because knowledge and intelligence are some of the best means to obtain money, influence, weapons, what have you, as well as ways to get around money. Of course, you can be both very intelligent and knowledgeable and get nowhere, due to lack of motivation or resolve, etc.
