Modified Hybrid Cars Get 250 Mile Per Gallon!
« on: August 13, 2005, 07:10:50 PM »
Check out this aricle about adding extra batteries to the Toyota Prius hybrid car to get 250 miles-per-gallon. OK, seriously, who cares how much gas costs if you only got to fill up every 3,000 miles?!?!?!

Great article.  I've fallen in love with these hybrids.  These damn gas prices have got way outta hand.  It's time to find something new!

I also want to build solar pannels on my home and maybe a wind turbine in the backyard!  Ahh energy self -sufficient.

Only ontopic part is, that it won't fit, in a car. Exept if your car is bigger than a carrier. :P
But it's clean energy: http://www.jet.efda.org/

An other funny part of it:
Ever seen the EU, China, Japan, Korea, Russia and the USA working together to build something in France(Cadarache), that gets to 150.000.000 °C?

A lot of homes in California use solar panels and windmills to power their homes and heat their water (using those new efficient coil based water heaters) and make enough energy to actually reverse the direction of their power meter and get money BACK for power they sell to the electric company.

Dammit, whatever happened to the cute little log cabin in the middle of nowhere, with snow covering everything and nice winter weather. With the chopped logs in the back and smoke comin' out the fireplace's chimney? Eh? Eh? *shrugs* now you only see that if the person living there has a fricken airplane in back to fly to town and get groceries.

But sadly, the power companies don't GIVE you money if you give them lawts of energy, they just make the bill say "omg zero dullers"

I'm using the power rangers to steal bandwidth from 10,000 people in florida.

Actually, some cities sell power back into the state grid and then use the proceeds to defray the costs of powering their own, city-wide grid. Alameda, CA is an example. On some levels, power sell-back is profitable.
