Haishin ((a story of betrayal))
« on: January 25, 2005, 03:57:40 AM »
(ok before I start this story i want to lay down some rules, this story has to do with only human characters, sorry no elvan or dwarves, but none the less let us begin)

My name is Kenoichi Hakitan... I come from a small village in Japan... there is a great war taking place and many villagers have left to fight, and die... I am 16 years old and I have avoided the draft by training alone in the mountains 20 miles away from where i live... I have not heard from my father or brother for 5 years now and I am beggining to lose hope... For now i train and hope to avenge my people and not throw my life away so carelessly...((currently training in the mountains))

(i hope i am doing this correctly, your characters can be of any classes, knight, cleric, ninja all that stuff kk please  start  :) )

(This goes into General Roleplay. World Wide Wars is a game itself. If nathan or another admin sees this, please move this to General Roleplay. If Global Moderators were reinstated their rank, I would do it myself.)

I am Haioko Katain. I was abandoned as an infant in Japan. Currently 23, I find myself in the middle of a war. I trained in the martial arts, and sword fighting. I have been pushed to the draft, but still have avoided it. I am thought of as a rebel and a coward, but that is not close to being true.

(Is this... swords and shields or guns?)

Yes I know... I have no idea why these random animals are carrying 148 gold and a magic fire ring. It will be forever a mystery![/span]

(You should speak in first person for your character. It makes more sense. I'll just try my best to adapt, but RP is mainly telling [or in this case making] a story in first person.)

A man appeared from above. I had been attacked by soldiers, set to attack me by their general. I was bleeding, and had climbed up the mountain as I was caught by surprise, and was hit in the shoulder. I could not fight, and I hoped this man would only be help. I simply said "Hi."

(ok i can adapt)

I simply looked down at this wounded man with a cold stare back at his frightened eyes.. He said "hi." and all I could think was, let him die from these horrible soldiers, or protect him and see who he was... "I'm coming to help!!!" *attacks one soldier through the head and almost gets nailed in the back but dodges it and continues the attack*

(let me know if i'm doing fighting correctly)

(Great, only one thing to polish up. An action (e.g. *Pulls out a shuriken and hits a guard*) would be simply said in first person (e.g. I pulled out a shuriken and threw it at/hit a guard.)

The man fights for me, and manages to back the soldiers up. I stick my foot onto the ground, and push myself up with the undamaged arm. "You may have rendered one arm useless, but this one still has some fight in it!" I run towards the soldiers, one arm down, and one arm cocked back ready to send a couple of the soldiers flying. I hit 2, almost like dominoes, and then knock out the last. "Thanks," I say to the man. "Now go, get some bandages." I fall back down onto the mountain side, bleeding.

(roll back lost my part of the story so... *sigh* ill try to do it again)

I looked back at the man... "I only did it because you looked desperate... It isn't fair that they team up on you like that... I'll go and get you some bandages from the soldiers supplies... my name is Hakitan, Kenoichi Hakitan." I went to get some bandages and noticed one of the soldiers still breathing.... he is only a kid like me... what do i do?

I lay my head down, and wait for Kenoichi to come back. "You might want to get anything else useful."

"I'll be there in a second." I look at the boy and try to wake him up *whispers* "Hey, kid, wake up..."  He wakes up dazed and not knowing where he is... he has amnesia.. "Hey sir, you might want to come over here... There is a fallen soldier... I think he lost his memory..."

"Oh, really? Well that's great. We'll try to wake him up... After we get my arm to stop bleeding so I don't die!" I push myself up again, and walk over to the soldier. I grab bandages out of a side pocket, sit down, and cover my arm. I tell Kenoichi, "Alright, kid. Help me take off these patches before he wakes up and finds out he's a soldier and starts attacking us." while ripping off patches sewed into his uniform.

"I don't even know why i helped you... i really don't care anymore... i've lost everything.... what brings you here anyways?"  I sit down and try to take my mind off of this young soldier... *can i trust this stranger...?*

(umm i cant think of things with this soldier, help me out)

"Calm down, kid. You're overreacting. Names are the last things you should be worrying about now." I notice the soldier waking, and tap his helmet. "Hi, sleeper." I get up and let the soldier wake, and go to Kenoichi. "We'll talk later. I don't have time for fun and games at the moment... more soldiers are sure to come. C'mon, grab this guy and let's get him out of here."

(Someone join in, as the now somewhat concious soldier.)

(i'll be the fallen soldier)

I try to move, looking around at the scene with a dazed and confused expression "Ah...who am I...who're you guys?" Realizing the pain I'm in I freeze and lay still in a panick "...Did...did you guys attack me? Are you going to kill me?"

"just relax ok, we arn't here to hurt you, only to help you, just come with us some people are probably after you...." I look over to the young warrior beside me and give him a nod... "Follow me i know of a place where we can hide..."  I help both the soldier and this warrior with me to a cave i know of only a few miles from where i was training... would we be safe... who would be coming after this soldier... why? And who is this warrior who seems so eager to help...

(lets make the soldier of some importance, i have an idea as maybe he is the king//general//somethings son)

(King wouldn't fight [they'd probably be too scared, and people wouldn't allow it], general or prince or relative to higher ups [king/queen/prince/princess/aristocrat...].)

"It's alright kid." I try to move my fingers of the damaged arm... to some avail. They hit me hard. "They have rendered my arm useless for the moment..." I follow Kenoichi, hoping to be able to sit down and recover.

(Saioto, what 'age' will the soldier be? And, DHippo, remember that Haioko (me) is older than Kenoichi (you), so he would think he is at least somewhat older... just wanted to make sure you weren't calling me young for nothing. :P)

"...A-alright," I stammer, as I'm carried away by this stranger. I seem to have no choice but to trust these two, so I simply relax and try my best not to be a burden, lightening my weight whenever I can. "..Thank you for helping me"

"I didn't catch your name by the way sir.... what is it?"  This man seems of no harm but yet i keep my distance and help him and the young soldier to the caves... "ahh... we are here finally... I'm sorry it took so long.... I didn't realize it would be so hard... Let's just hope no one comes out looking for us..."  I start to drift away in the corner of the cave as I watch the soldier on the other end looking very scared and confused... and this mysterious man standing watch.... what could he be thinking... what's his purpose...?

As we walk to the cave, Kenoichi asks me my name... now at a more convienent time. "I am Haioko Katain."

Now at the cave, I stand across from he soldier, flexing my arm. I say in a low tone "I knew they wanted me as a soldier, but I didn't know they would go as far as trying to kill me." I watch the reinforcement soldiers, which had just arrived at the fallen soldiers. They obviously didn't care enough to count to see what soldiers were and weren't there.

"should we get moving?"  i don't think i have to worry about Kaioko.... he seems to be like me... alone and fighting for what's right... it's this soldier i don't quite trust....

"They don't care about the kid. We don't need to move..." I say, still keeping my eyes on the soldiers below. "Don't worry kid... they aren't chasing us."

"Let's just rest for a few days.." I begin trainin outside the cave after only 1 days rest and i notice Haioko gazing at me upon a ledge... I wonder if he is a good fighter... he seems strong... I go back to my training and hope to be on our way soon... we will be going to the village of the damned.... a place where innocent people were brought and killed because they would not bow down to the ruler... a place of horrible demons... a place where i hope my father and brother are being held captive... i will save them one way or another....

I was able to move my arm again. I was always a fast healer, my arm was almost back to normal-excluding the blood. Kenoichi had been training, and I watching him. I decide to walk down and show him some techniques. "Hey, need a partner?" I pull out a sword, which had been to my side but unnoticed the whole time, and small boards from my pack. "Try to slice the boards before they hit the ground." I toss one up, and pierce the board straight through the middle.

"haha i...see so you have... some... skill, but lets see you slice a tree into 3 peices with 1 motion, eh?  Toss up those boards..."  I slice each with ease before they hit the ground and make my way to the tree... i set myself at the ready and....

(dude... Nathan took away all my topics... everything i had made... all of it... im so incredibly upset.... he took away my admin too... wow.... this is absolute BULL shit)
(yea i hope u get a PM from Chi... anyhoo)

I charged at the tree with full concentration and force and instantly sliced it in three peices with only one motion... "see? not too hard... how about you have a go, eh?" I wonder if im showing off too much... I shouldn't be so cocky... I've learned this from the past...

I laugh. I toss three boards in the air, and pierce 2 onto my sword, And slice the other, which goes flying above Kenoichi's head and hits the tree behind him. "That's just a little old at this point. What do you say we go for 5 at a time? Hah..." I grab five boards, now much smaller targets, and hold them like playing cards. "3 out of 5 wins. I promise I'll go easy on you."

(Just remember you have to accept if you want to attack the boards.)

(EDIT: Alkti, [since I see you looking... hehe] you can join in if you want and be possibly and archer or another swordsman and run in and attack/shoot the boards.)

"I'm sorry Haioko... I've learned from the past to stop these games of who is better... we are both great fighters, both unique in our own ways... we should get moving to the city of the damned... it is a 30 day treck through rough terrain, enemy towns, and we will not be liked by any... let us pack up and be on our way... our resting time is over... Hey you, Soldier... we are going to call you Saiato from now on... let's go we are leaving."  I walk away from Haioko calmy and think back to the past... I must save my father and brother.

(No, why would he PM me? If he's asking why he was removed as an admin, it's because he was never supposed to be. IPB automatically registers the first member it sees as an Admin, and he was #2, but #1 didn't exist anymore.)

"Fine. Let's go then. I was hoping to test your skills more, but I guess we'll just have to see in battle." I walk towards the soldier and help him up. "Lead-Wait... We need equipment. We have to sneak back into town and pick up some weapons..."
