Just how immersive is the storyline?
Is it like reading a book and you can identify with the hitman main character?

or is it just liek say HL or Quake ... wher eu r just a bot running around in fps view shooting things down..

most fps games to me do now have an immersive storyline. they dont make you feel like you are part of a deep and well fleshed story... its just an arcade...

In hitman you view the character from above him as in Splinter Cell.

To start with you plan a hit carefully with a map overview of where 2 chinese clans are going to hold a meeting. Here's what I did.

Checked the area before going on the mission with map. Bought a sniper rifle in suitcase (then I start the mission with it). I walked to an elevator and went to the roof then waited for the meeting. Both members arrived, and when talking I shot the 'Red dragon' member in the head. Then I went down the elevator without having a certain chopper noticing me and walked to my car and drove away.

So to sum up it starts with you being a cold hitman that's on a job (make the clans fight each other).

Maybe I shouldn't spoil the story :) but it has somewhat of a storyline yes.

But still,
the place you live in is that more drab an empty that they're gone.
I guess I just miss my friend."

i have only played hitman 2, i would also say that you should go for this.

apparantly the first game is kinda rubbish.

the second game has a storyline but its hardly war and peace

p.s.

if you want a good storyline get 'Mafia'

ROFL, after I had played the first one Hitman 2 was such damn bs. In Hitman 2 you can go straight in with 2 ballers and shoot every enemy down..... there's your game, RAMBO >.< this just wasn't possible in the first one, careful planning had to be made.

Mafia is a little fun, bit long and I never finished it, but it's real quality.

and here's something to think about. Hitman 2: Silent Assassin is the name of the game, then why the hell was running around going rambo on enemies even an option? Hitman 2 just wasn't good compared to Hitman: codename 47

im really curious about Mafia

Hitman 1 certainly sounds like a crafty game - maybe a bit like Thief? Thief was very strategic and tactical in gameplay i suspect - lot sof thinkign rather than just fighting like rambo. ok - im not too goo dat those games.

currently the only fps i like is - Postal 2....

hubba?

did you buy ur copy of mafia or is it like a er.. torrent download with a nocd crack?

cos nocd cracks are sometimes pretty unreliable. if it is an original game then boy it means the game is really buggy...

well i had no bugs at all,

played it throu 3 times and keeps getting better!

errr. get the patches thou, otherwise you'll never finish the race - people who played will know what i mean ;)

but i would say its the thinking mans GTA :)

plus Blood:

aye it was kinda irresistable to go on the rampage in Hitman 2, i always wound up being a 'mass murderer' on the rating system :D - what can i say? im lame :)

I know, it's so lame when the game is called silent assassin. Though if you play well and get the rank silent assassin then you gain new stuff, bonuses, such as dual silenced ballers.
