:lol:

My yahoo account no longer has any storage limit. Maybe they decided to make it unlimited because of how long I've been using it or it's just unlimited now for everyone or something... Hmm... *shrugs*

There will be a slight delay with the email service as I just realized my nazi ISP blocks port 25 also.  I'm going to set up off site hosting to solve this problem.  Stay tuned, won't be long.

Ok the following people have their email accounts set up:

elessar
420
Tyr
Hell

please log in using a pop3 email client, ala Outlook express with the following connection details:

incoming mail server (pop3): lucidmagic.net
outgoing mail server (smtp): lucidmagic.net --> IMPORTANT in advanced tab please set the outgoing mail server PORT to 26.  This must be done or no connection will be made.

After that log in with your account name, which is the email address you choose minus the @lucidmagic.net.  Also please use those same credentials to authenticate to the outgoing (smtp) mail server.  DO NOT use SSL (secure password authentication).

If you have any problems with any of this please let me know.
Also you have no passwords setup so please PM me your desired password and I will enter it in.

For the rest of you sit tight I'll try and get accounts set up for you.  I'm having a wee problem in that the evaluation version of my server let's me have max 5 users lol.  I'll get that fixed pronto.

There should be a little checkbox with something like "remember my password"?

All pop3 clients should be relatively the same.

Sorry 420, meant to put this up an hour ago, but I was helping a friend with a mission in GW and unfortunately we were stuck with a bunch of dumbasses so it took a lot longer.

Go to File>Manage Identities>Add New Identity.
[attachmentid=1225]

Fill in the information and add a password if desired. When you hit OK, it will ask to switch to the new identity. Say yes.
[attachmentid=1226]

An internet connection wizard will pop up and ask for information. Fill it in as you need to. When you get to the page that asks for the incoming and outgoing server names, fill in lucidmagic.net for both places, and make sure that the Incoming mail is set as POP3. The outgoing should be static.
[attachmentid=1227]

Continue to fill in the wizard's requested information until it finishes.
It may ask you to import previous mail from another program. Select no.
[attachmentid=1228]

Go to Tools>Accounts and switch to the Mail tab. Make sure lucidmagic.net is selected and hit the Properties button on the right side of the panel. Go to the Advanced tab of the Properties panel and change the outgoing port from 25 to 26.
[attachmentid=1229]

And that should set up your account.

Hope this helps!

If there's someone out there who really doesn't want to use Outlook we can use something else.

Here's a link to the Novell download page of the Groupwise client software.

gw701cm.exe     GroupWise 7 Client (Windows*) is the file of interest.
With that installed it is simply a matter of loging in with your username and password (blank password should work also).  Connect to server: lucidmagic.net the default port of 1677 is good.

Once inside you will have a live connection to your mailbox.  You can also change your password from there as well.  Also you will have access to contacts and calandars and all sorts of stuff.  You can send people appointments also which they can accept or decline.  Good way to schedule UW trips that people won't forget to show up for ;)

Also there's a Groupwise Connector for Outlook.  I'm not sure what that does, so if someone would like to have a look at it and let me know :P

You will need to register with Novell to get access to the files, don't worry they are good  people...Mormons  :rolleyes:

elessartelrunya
check the thread. I'll make a list shortly.

The hint in that error message lies in "no such recipient."

You don't put in a password. Since you don't have one.

If all we need is a POP client, all you Gates detractors can try using Thunderbird:
Mozilla Thunderbird

I haven't used it, but some people swear by it.

Hmm ok it wasn't letting you relay to throbble.  In Outlook or whatever, go to the properties of the account and in the servers tab make sure outgoing mail server requires authentication is enabled.  Then just use your account credentials.

Hey Mo I've changed my mind about the webhosting. Sorry if you acted on that already.  I've thought about having to renter all that information since you can't cut and paste to and from Word and Geocities Pagebuilder.
If anyone does know a way I'd love to hear!
