"We're working 24 hours a day, seven days a week and put on extra staff," he said. "We won't let anyone down."

I'd have to say that was sad becuase due to the massive quantity I can't see how that kind of theft would turn profitable for the thieves. Also the nasty note they left behind suggests it was purely malicious. So the company is out a big chunk of liquid assets, and bunch of meat will go to fertilize a bunch of rocks off some ditch.
