PS3 first, if it doesn't cost the rumored $500. Then it'll be a long run for X-360 and the "Revolution" for the second system if I get one.

Specs on the PS3 put every PC and console system currently on the market to shame.  The Nvidia GPU runs faster than 2 GeForce 6800 Ultra cards in SLI configuration.  Plus the 3.2 Ghz Cell processor seems very interesting.  It will use Blu-ray discs instead of DVDs.  Blu-rays can store 25GB per layer as opposed to DVD 4.7GB.  Plus it also has dual HD outputs, which means you can hook it up to two TVs or similar HD output devices, sorta like dual-monitor support on todays video cards.  All in all it's a giant leap forward in console/computer/entertainment devices technology, as opposed to previous generations of consoles which were already behind on PC technology when they were first released.

i like the ps3 (im a sony fan) but the high cost does make me want to not buy it (if the $500 is true)

I wait to see what kind of game are released withing the first few months then make my choice. Of course, my choice will be between the Ps3 and the X-Box 360 (i dont like nindendo very much).

the consoles look amazing but i was more concerned as to the controversy as to the lack of nwn2 samples and screens which im pretty sure  were originally planned for show on e3, some speculation on bioware forums think this could be delays, (allthough theres no hard evidence), and im not to sure as to the details.

PS3 will have about maybe a 35% chance of being $500 in my eyes... That's about the cost of a higher-end graphics card for your computers.

I wouldn't be suprised if it was or wasn't $500.

I spoke with a friend of mine tonight.  He works for EA Games, and has seen the new consoles, he actually has an Xbox 360 on his desk.  Anyway he said the PS3 blows everything away and is miles ahead of the Xbox.  Nintendo will be coming out after the PS3

i know they arent but lots of forums, not just bioware, point out nwn2 was due to show some stuff at e3 and around 6 months before its due and no screenies is a bit of a reason to be suspicious. Delays arent rare, just look at hl2 etc

Around here the PS2 was going for 400 bucks when it came out.  I don't have the PS2 cause it's not that special but this PS3 sounds worth it

Soul Calibur is just like any other fighting game. Next thing you know we'll have Happy Tree Friends for the Revo, Homestar Runner for the PS3, and a DOA girl for the X-360 in Soul Calibur 20. No thanks. Zelda has something called a "plot" that is actually usually decent.

Spyro is whack. He has a magic firefly, purple scales, ice-encased grandpas, and kills sheep randomly. No thanks, again.

Final Fantasy series... Mmm, check it: FF Battle (http://www.flashplayer.com/animation/ffbattle_movie.php) ... That's about as close as I'll ever get to playing an FF game.

PS3 will easily surpass X-360 or Revo, it's got high quality possibility, and the price point is still negotiable. Heck, when the PS2 came out here it was like $200. Maybe I can get it for $250! Eat that!

$200? errr where do you live? I got PS2 the day it came out in Canada for $500...then i was so mad when FFX sucked!

PS. I've read a preview for FFXII on PS2 (made by the same folks who did FF Tactics, thats a good sign)...looks like the old "console" style rpg is going out the window.  It's going to be more real time, probably like BG2 combat.

www.flashplayer.com is where I got that. It's like NG, without all the idiots. I go there daily, most of the time. There's a who wants to be the ring bearer (LOTR) quiz there now.

I live in, like, Florida. Maybe it was $300, at best.

I don't like FF, I'd rather have a live battle set up--If it's so fast paced, WHY the hell are their thousands upon thousands of MENUS?!

I just beat Tactics again. I love that so much. Onlything I wanted to know the ranks of Knighthood in that game, that you can not get  :angry:  I know they include Knight, Lune Knight, Arc Knight, Divine Knight, Holy Knight, and Holy Swordsman. I want a damn list.

FF X wasnt that bad of a game, but the voices annoyed me, the storyline was kinda lame, and it was made for a younger age group. FF VII is still the high-point of the FF series.

Been a while since I played Tactics.  Can't answer that question.  I should play it again!

FFVII was the high point in every catagory except graphics obviously, and playable characters.  FFVI had the best cast of playable characters.

Want to see FFVII the way it would be with tomorrow's graphics? The "Final Fantasy VII Technical Demo".  This is not a CG movie clip, it is a clip showing graphics rendered in real-time on the PS3.

While watching that I pissed myself I was so entranced. That is like heaven in a 1 minute vidio clip.

but I read an E3 article sayting that the fuckheads arent gonna remake it, instead they are making a new FF. I feel like screaming. I am going to try and find the article.
