Is it just me or are there some others who think we got too far away from our roots?
*sigh*
I see nearly everyone running around with some annoying overpowered archer and dueling is no fun at all anymore!
Those archers hit you three, four or may be five times and all your hp is gone!
I really begin to hate this! Where were the times were Antediluvians used to be mages???!
I know that this is just my opinion and no one else thinks this way but I really can't understand why one should be
an archer? What do they do? Just staying there and shooting arrows...oh yes they cast true strike...my oh my ... wow I forgot!
But what do you need to duel with an archer???
If you are a spellcaster you have to choose different spells each round and it depends on your opponent which spells you cast...
so each time it is different.
I'm really angry because of those annoying archers...and I mean REALLY angry! *darn*
It's not that I don't like this clan anymore, no I am spending more than 90% of my free time for it. Trying to make things better,
trying to maintain all those folks somehow, trying to keep this clan together...I don't want anyone to say "Hey Gwyd, you are fantastic!"
No I don't need that!
All I want is to get back something of what we have lost...something like an old tradition.
Okay you all know that I'm not some sort of 12 years old jerk ;) I tend to be a bit old fashioned, trying to hold to the basics, to the roots where we came from. And I also know (and some of you may have already encountered me this way) that I can be weird or angry in some situations.
I'm the oldest Antediluvian I think but still there is a little child in me that comes out from time to time... ;)
But I'm getting off from topic... *sigh*
I already once had the idea of dividing the clan in two groups, a group of ranged melee and the other group spellcasters. I don't want to divide the clan, the idea was to have two "sub-groups" in our clan if you understand what I'm trying to tell you.
Alkti could then be the leader of the ranged melee group (he still would be Leaderof all antes!) and I could be the leader of the spellcasting group. So each group could get more focused on their skills and discuss about things that matters to them. Get what I mean?
It's just an idea...may be an idea for the future when Antes will grow further like they do now.
Smaller groups would be more easily to maintain than one big group though!
And I think it would be more fun again to play! ... but as I said in the beginning...may be it's only me that thinks this way... :(

Alkti already wrote about it but this is the journal entry as it can be read in our mod:

"This is the normal procedure when you want to join our clan:

1. Go to a member of our clan and tell him you want to join. If you don't know who is a member of our clan then read the section: "Sentinels (Sents)". Alkti or Gwydion will then decide if you may go on with step No. 2 or not.

2. You have to be a gnome or halfling! It doesn't actually matter if you are level 20 or 40. If your character is neither a gnome nor a halfling you have to make a new character.

3. You'll have to change your appearance into a kobold. If you don't know how to do this then read the section "About Leto". Which type of kobold you choose is up to you.

4. You'll have to change your name to: "[name] - Familiar of the Antediluvians". This has to be done by using Leto too!

5. You'll get a visual effect the next time when the module reloads. This effect is only a visual to mark you as a familiar of our clan!

6. All members will watch your actions!

7. After two weeks your behaviour will be judged by our members and if we think you are worthy and you'll fit in our clan then you will be an official member. Then you will get a new position/title/rank and you will have full access to all member-items and areas."

Yeah there is nothing wrong using good ideas even when they come from others!
It's really annoying when players want to join, you make all the changes to the module and then after one week you don't see them ever again...bah!
So this "test-period" of two weeks will be very good to see if they will be avtive members and they have a goal to reach which will be good for their motivation  :D

I don't know if this is important, I removed everything tifa-related from the module because I didn't see her for weeks now. I don't think she will come back. If someone sees her and she wants to get back in our clan then she has to undergo our "joining-procedure" :excl:
Doesn't matter if she was in the clan or not :excl:

I added some journal entries which are already removed by new ones which were written by HeLLMasteRHeLL because of his superior english spelling  :glare:

The "Plotter" has been removed.

 :excl: If anyone uses the Killer-Item to just destroy objects in our homeworld because he/she thinks it's funny, then I will take away that item from him/her  :excl:  UNDERSTOOD????  :angry:

01/15/05 ~~ News ~~

1. All members get green visual lights surrounding them and a green signal
    right under their feets. This will help to mark them as members (or in some
    cases as friends).
2. Prolly the behaviour of the sent-rune will change in the future as it already
    has been changed yet. I removed all this visual lights and stuff. You only get
    true seeing and plot-setting and items. But the last may even change too.
3. I'll work on a BAN-item and you will notice when it is done.

Since spellcaster duels are no fun at all on our server because of these wretched dispelling spells of all kind I once more call for help pleasssssse :excl:

Can someone - possibly mel - post or mail me all dispelling spells as they are on GS or an arivs???
I can't change them, therefore my knowledge is not enough.
Please I don't like to beg so much but to play sorc or wiz is really no fun on our homeworld  :(

oVIT = GetNextObjectInArea(); This gets any object in the area, not just those with the tag. Also, if you get a object by tag and then starting from that one loop trought the rest, you may miss a few before the first you got with the tag.

Just get the first object in the are, then loop trought hem all and if they have the tag vit, add the local int. That only req a simple if statement in the while loop.

I use a very small script on the onbeat to check for hide. It just check if the player is in duel, and if it's hided. If so it unhides. That's all and takes 1 if statement and 1 command to unhide.

For the truesee, just make that the truesee gets removed and replace it by 6 darkvisions. And when someone equips a item with 6 darkvision make that they get a supernatural effect with see invisi and ultrvision. Same goes for unequiping, remove those then. (this makes it gs/arivs compatible too, I recommend you work that way)

I first used the OnHeartbeat to give effects to objects yes because I didn't know of another way. Now since you told me how to change that I use the OnModuleLoad to give effects to objects  :D
but this loop stuff isn't working out...  :crash:      :glare:

Only way to make that (as far I know) is making the player say that he can't open it.

Oh there is a way. It happens a lot in the first chapter of the game when you try to open some doors or gates you are being told that the gate/door is locked from the other side...remember??  :)

I like the idea of moo's filter that you have a "setup"-script where you can set things to TRUE or FALSE.

Still Moo's filter seem to be unable to strip bonus feats even when the setting is activated  :(
and I couldn't find the section where you strip things like this d_mn true seeing  :angry2: ...  :glare:

I want to make a door that can't be opened.
Everytime someone tries to open it I want a small text to appear above the head of the player that gives him the reason why he can't open it or what he can hear behind the door. I don't want to use this FloatingTextStringOnCreature. Just this plain white normal Text (same as when players talks smt.)
What command to use???  :blink:

It will go in your modules onheartbeat event.
It is a very resource hungry script, and I wouldnt recommend using it.
If you have a certain type of motherboard, the sheer number of time functions will cause your CPU to hang.

Hmmmm I have SOU & HOTU so I have 3 cd-keys too. But since I am not able to start the game only by using the SOU-CD or the basic NWN-CD I think checking only one CD-Key is okay for me.
And the problem is not which CD-Key to use but how to script this on and off effekt but I think I try this while loop mel posted above your post Khadgar  :D
