Yeah, when I told you it was a good fucking game I wasn't joking. Best city builder I've ever played. The only reason I stopped when I did is because of a broken asset messing up my game, and I had to figure out which one it was, so I ended up doing something else and never got back to it. Every time I think about playing it, I usually say "ah, but that broken asset..." lol.

Definitely recommend that title to anyone who likes city builders.

Haha i think I just ran into that problem. My save game gives me an error...hmm...i think it's a mod.

Been playing the heck out of Cities: Skylines.  Gonna hit the 200 hour mark soon.  What I really like most about this game is that it has a very big Steam community and there are TONS of cool mods and assets available in the Workshop that added a TON to this game for free.  I went on a subscribing spree and added oh I don't know about many dozens of mods and assets.  Now my game needs 10GB of RAM to start lol... Anyway at least now I have Tim Hortons in my city!

Congratulations! I'm very happy to hear about your expanding family.  Boy and girl very nice.

I think your wife would laugh about you complaining about a tooth ache while she was giving birth rofl.

DOOM was fun but it was just team deathmatch, no single player, and only a couple maps.

There is a leveling system that allows you to unlock special consumables like placing an icon on the player that killed you that you can see from anywhere on the map. Reminded me a lot of Quake 3: Team Arena.

I know people really looking forward to that game.  I think I'll pass on FPS now.

Just got into the DOOM closed beta. Starts tomorrow (3/31) and ends Sunday (4/3).

Time to give my Geforce 980 GTX a real test.

Let us know...Meanwhile this Stardew Valley game looks pretty fun. Might pick it up when it goes on sale.

It's alright.

I thought the character creation went smoothly for me. Game seems interesting, but I will need to get used to the play style. I didn't play too much since I had dinner pretty soon after checking it out. I'm going to put in some time this weekend and check it out. Also want to check out the DM stuff. It looks like it could be interesting with some work.

Cool let us know.  Hopefully a more positive experience than Elessar's.

Why is that?

Cause for me at least it's a very solid OS and benefits from security, much fast response times during boot, power off, suspend and in general from Windows 7.  Lastly you'll need to upgrade sooner or later before Windows 7 support ends and for now it's a free upgrade.

I'd update if I were you.

Either way, that confirms my suspicions. They want me on 10 for money. Better that it's to save money than it is to get more out of me, but it's still about money.

You wouldn't think of running with memory? I'm guessing you mean -low- memory?

I have 16 gb of RAM. I built this comp in 2012, still runs ever game on ultra. I've only  needed to upgrade my graphics card. I should be okay.

As long as it's running good for someone, I'll probably "upgrade" eventually. It's been pissing me off because it automatically downloads the upgrade when I do windows update, even if I de-select windows 10. Then it asks me if I agree to the agreement to install it, I say "no" and it erases the files to install it. I have to deal with that every time I want to do updates.

If you're on Windows 8.1 then I'd say upgrade.

Microsoft is giving this away for free only for 1 year or so and only for upgrades from 7 and 8.1.  The reason is that they don't want a lot of people running legacy operating systems because it costs A LOT of money for them to have to support old versions of Windows. It would save them a lot if 90% were using 10 and 10% were on 8.1 and that's it.  They figured this problem out when so many people remained on XP and 7 for so long because Windows 8 was shit.  It has nothing to do with charging for updates blah blah conspiracy theory.  They are still charging full dollar for new installs.

Windows 10 runs very smoothly for me on both my home and work computer.  My home PC is a beast with 16GB of RAM, work has 8GB.  I wouldn't think of running with memory.

Cities:Skylines.  Very high recommend for those who like city building. Currently on Winter sale on Steam.  Anything from Paradox is recommended by me...

Pillars of Eternity.  From our friends at Obsidian.  Recommended for those seeking an old school Infinity Engine RPG experience.

Divinity Original Sin - Enchanced Edition.  I played the first release and it was very good.  The Enhanced Edition just came out which adds a boat load of stuff.  Recommended for those seeking an RPG with tough tactical combat.

Some franchises I just decide for whatever reason not to pay attention to it.  Saint's Row is one of those! There's just so many damn games to play and I always try to completely finish with one before I move to the next.

Currently on Cities:Skylines (fuck that's fun).  I have half a dozen other games in my Steam library to get to.   Also stepped away from Pillars of Eternity (recommend for old time Infinity Engine fun). Gotta get back to that one.

I let you know on Steam so you could get to it whenever you had time.

Ya you were late with that! I had already fixed it by then.

This time it was around my birthday :)

I bought DIII (finally!) this morning since I realized I can probably afford it now. Does anyone still play?

My battletag is etelrunya#1455.

Pretty sure people still play.  I don't though.

I Wish Listed it.  I just installed Pillars of Eternity, an Obsidian developed Infinity Engine (or at least it looks like it) game.  Just played 20 mins or so.

After that there's Divity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition.  I played the regular edition a year ago, quite a good RPG if you ask me.  Then I may take a look at the DnD one.

Shadow Of Mordor is currently $20 with Game of the Year upgrade at $3.  Sales goes through the weekend.  Probably picking up a copy myself.

I upgraded also.  Went pretty smoothly.  One from 7 to 10 the other from 8.1 to 10.
Cortana is cool but needs lots of work to be really useful.

Ya kinda already bored with Hearthstone....you literally end up seeing 1 of 4 decks every game.  Gameplay is also a little too slow and progress is too slow unless you unload your wallet to Blizzard.

Yes it's going to be a free UPGRADE to Windows 7 and 8.1.  This is a promotion that will last a limited time.  After that and for new installs it will cost the same as previous versions of Windows.

I would wait until it's released (do not upgrade to a beta) and maybe wait a few weeks thereafter before upgrading to be safe.

I actually played the trial version recently and had a lot of fun (especially since the voice actress for the female wizard is Grey Griffin, who voices Azula in Avatar: The Last Airbender), now if only my wallet could catch up so I could just buy it already.... :p

I snagged Witchers 1&2 from a Steam sale a while ago, but I couldn't get into the first one, so I never gave the second one a try.

Trial of Witcher 3? (sorry for off topic! lol).

Glad to see that game continue to improve.  I don't think I'll be able to ever get back into it though. Been trying to play the Witcher 2 lately.

but I don't see why it's a PC game an not a mobile game. The company that made it is even called, "505GAMES Mobile".

EDIT: Forgot to mention, it's a freemium game available on Steam.

That's a good question. Is the game in beta or early access? I think developers are using Steam to kinda build games while selling them at the same time.  PC gamers are more forgiving to buying things in early access or beta.  Once the game is actually finished they will port it to mobile.

I think that is what is happening with Darkest Dungeon (good game btw check it out).  That game looks like it would be perfect for mobile but it's on PC.  It's early access so not even finished yet.
