May be nice if it goes to real time rather than turn based, though if that happens you won't be able to stratagize like before. All I really want are two things, a tough ass mangy cur as a companion, and .223 rifle modified down into a hand gun. Boooooooom!

I dropped off Bleach a while ago because I got tired of the way everyone reacts to new people and situations by drawing their sword and charging headlong at them, and the show never gave even a hint as to why that seems to be the only way to do anything. I appreciate its post-modern style of showing rather than teling but throw me a freaking bone here! Those of you who are up to date with the show, do you get even a little explination as to why things happen the way they do?

No, you got it right. She replaced Gene Spice who was kicked out when discovered that she/he was a transvestite.

I'll build a parry dueler in NWN2 and do some testing with Cuch and Throbble and see what I can find out.

I've got cingular and I have not had a single real problem. Even out off County road G miles outside of eagle River Wisconsin, i had a good signal. Once in a few months I have to turn it off to reboot the phone, but it is the smallest no frills freebee that they had. This could be why i've had veryfew problems as there is not much that can go wrong with it.

NWN 2 General / Does Parry work in NWN2?
« on: April 18, 2007, 03:02:30 PM »
Parry is in nwn2 though in game the bonus drops off differently than what is printed in the manual. The book says that subsequent parries after the total that you can normally make reduce their efectiveness by -3 per each addtional parry. Though in game the penalty states it's -5. The duelist prestige class looks like it makes good use of the skill. I have never had good results from the skill myself as I always got lousy rolls on my coutnerattacks, and so just got slowly taken down by opponents getting through my parry little by little.

"Follow only if ye be men of valor, for the entrance to this cave is guarded by a creature so foul, so cruel, that no man yet has fought with it and lived! Bones of full fifty men lie strewn about its lair! So brave knights, if ye do doubt ye courage, or ye strength, come ne' further! For death awatis ye all, with nasty, big, pointy teeth!"

Don't try and say who said it or where it's from, just give the following quote.

P.S.  "Thbbbt!" - Bill the Cat.

What I can see happeneing in Naruto is that the creators are trying to aim for a much wider age group. It's hoeky and toonish to keep the kids laughing, but once they finish their homage to Chuck Jones with over the top wild takes and pratfalls, somone is going to get hurt, somone is going to suffer, and someone is going to die. Most of the real conflicts have belonged not to the main characters, but to all those that they interact with. They have been interlopers on other people's stories who are suffering from moral dillemas, and oppressive forces. It will be interesting to see where they take it from here. I'm sure there will be some teenage angst as well a few of the old schoolyard crushes turning into Checkovian love triangles. Although they better not tease at killing someone off and then bringing them back from being mostly dead again.

What did I find in the mail today? My BA in Creative Writing! It's like Christmas again! Except its late February. Still after all the years of my life I've put into this and the thousands of dollars in loans I have to pay back, I now have an 8.5X11" paper with my name, (spelled correctly thank god), that confirms it! So now just like Comic Store Guy I can say. "Out of my way hu-mon, I am college educated!"

Soda rules you!

However, when you order a "whatever and soda" in a bar you're asking for Club Soda.

Club soda AKA carbonated water is the main ingredient in all of them, so it's all soda!  Unless you're in Russia and you ask for a Sprite or 7 UP, they call that "Lemonade", crazy Ruskies.

Random Ranting / What kind of dragon are you??
« on: January 27, 2007, 02:19:26 AM »
I got Blue. A bit odd since i thought most of my answers strayed away from the aquatic. Still, it;s neat.

As the Oceans that give birth to the Land, your Dragon color is...
[attachmentid=1113]

If there ever was a draconic example of a supple attitude, your Inner Dragon is it. Blues are the Water Elemental dragon - typified by their Steam breath weapon. Pretty creative, huh? It goes right along with your Inner Dragon's tendency to maim, but not destroy. Much like your native oceans and rivers will deform the rock over time, eventually wearing it away to nothing.

Humans shouldn't make the idiot mistake of thinking you're weak, however. After all you're a good 30 feet in length and you have a penchant for materializing out of any body of water, no matter how small. The element of surprise and limited magic capabilities are definitely yours. You also enjoy communicating with aquatic life-forms, hunting in totally inhospitable terrain (i.e. 3000 feet below the waves), and using your fluid nature to your advantage. Your enemies probably won't even see you approach in the first place. Your favorable attributes are the sunset, Autumn, water, compassion, peace, forgiveness, love, intuition, and calmness. Naturally, you pity the fool who'd try and prove that calmness part, he'd probably wind up being scalded. *small grin*

Well out of a goal of 50,000 words, I actually uploaded a little over 7,000. If you count the hand written stuff then I'm closer to 12,000 and climbing. I'm still piecing it together a bit at a time but it is comming along slowly. If anyone wants to see the sample I posted go to http://www.nanowrimo.org/ and under authors search for cuchulann. The first 4 or so pages are posted there under the title "Four Moons." Share and Enjoy!

Interesting. Sort of German, barbarian, fetish rock. found a bit of Tanzwut on you tube and their more folky band Corvus Corax which it seems some of the Tanzwut people came from. They have dervishes in the band, just watching them makes me dizzy.

Well all, I've joined up with NaNOWriMo, thats the National Novel Writing Month. It's a challenge to all writers to produce an entire novel in 30 days this November. I already have the answers to your first questions: 1. Is he insane? 2. Can he do it? 3. Does this mean we will see even less of his infrequent and innane comments on LM?  The answers: 1. Yes 2. IthinkIcanIthinkIcanIthinkIcan 3. Yes, your welcome. So, wish me luck and for those of you who wish to join and develop carpel tunnel syndrome early in life or who just want to see what the other lunatics with carpel tunnel syndrome are doing, check out the site below.
See you in December!
