Got a lvl 20 monk already, went to sleep at 5am and woke up at 8:00 to go to work!! xd

Yep, RAGE was a total failure, after all the workarounds you have to do to actually get the game working like it should after release, I just didnt even bother to finish it.
If you needed a good game you should have got Kingdoms of Amalur :p.

Borderlands and Dead Island were both good and should be cheap now, if you havent played them already that is.

Though for just 2 days it may not be worth it heh

Unless Diablo 3 server explodes from the massive influx of incoming people xD
and we have to wait a little more.

Those fans for HDDs are not as good as you may think, I work repairing computers and I've seen my share of broken HDDs due to those fans, all they do is draw dust into the HDD electronic part, and without constant cleaning it can turn out to be very harmful.

Other than that seems a very good pc, but dont know why do you want all those fans, its going to be very noisy!

I only have 2 Fans enabled on my case, a big lateral one to let air in and a back one to let air out, thats all it needs :p

CPU is always between 25-35

Yesterday found my nwn disks on the top of a shelf in the living room :o
Seems I used the hotu box (with all nwn cds inside) to lift up my router when i put it up there for better wifi range, then i just bought a better router and totally forgot about it :o

Found them yesterday while doing some other stuff lol
So anyone still plays sometimes?

Im playing C9 (Continent of the ninth) and Kingdoms of Amalur (just lvl 6 or so), I still have like 5 CB keys if anyone wants to try C9
The Game is very nice with real time combos and stuff, I've posted some trailers of it in the previous page.
The C9 CB ends right before Diablo 3 release, looking for to that aswell.

(uhm I posted this from my Iphone but most of it went missing :o)

Its where I live :p, El Hierro, smallest of the Canary Islands, never goes under 10c on winter and doesnt go higher than 40c in summer, usually 25-35c.

Edit: Just found the problem, happened from the PC aswell, if I use the small o for the centigrades the forum ignores the rest of my post... :o

That has happened to me twice already, the first time I decided to buy the 360 like 3 years ago, my graphic card burned down and I got a good graphic card instead, then some new games came out and I forgot about it. The 360 is like cursed for me I tell you! :o

I was thinking about buying an Xbox 360 but then either my motherboard or processor died, so I just changed both amongst a few other things and now my PC is completely renewed :p

Gigabyte P67A-UD4-B3
Intel Core i5-2500
2 x 4GB DDR3-1600 Kingston HyperX
AMD 6950HD
Power Supply NOX HUMMER 80 700w
Keyboard Ttesports Challenger Pro
Mouse Logitech G-500
1TB Seagate HDD
Monitor Samsung SyncMaster B2330HD

I think its pretty decent for now, its a huge step up from the amd phenom 9550 I had for a couple of years, I always though the PCSX2 emulator was crap, but with my new PC most games look and run even better than in the PS2 itself!.

So no Xbox 360 for a while, I may get a PS Vita instead in the near future depending on how it turns out.

I wanted to play but i couldnt find the cds anywhere and seems I also deleted all my builds/mods at some point :/ all i could find was the NWN manual with the serial :o, now if you guys are going to play again sometimes I could try to "get" the gold edition one and try if it works with my serial... if not oh well

Maybe thats why they told people to lower their high expectations for Diablo III :p, they start to nerf stuff and the game isnt even out yet! xD

I tried the CB of Tera last weekend, It feels like a real time Aion, you have a crosshair and you attack with the left mouse button and can dodge/block attacks with the right mouse besides the usual skills on quickslots.

Its actually a good game but I dont know if I will get it because Im also in the CB of Continent of the Ninth (C9), which is also real time action with combos and stuff but much more fast paced, though C9 will be free2play and like 90% of the time they turn to pay2win and i stop playing them :o

I played SW: The Old Republic beta and besides the nice storylines and voice acting its a normal mmorpg, nothing new :o
Right now im playing Champions online since it went free, until february when Aion goes free in Europe then I guess Ill play that until Diablo 3 gets released... and by the look of things its still going to take a while :o

I ddidn't say you couldnt script it, i meant it wouldnt be the same for the type of gameplay and the big graphic difference.

Seeing a dragon out of nowhere in nwn would never cause the same impact than seeing it on Skyrim :p

Though i still have hopes for a new neverwinter with Skyrim like graphics :o, since that new mmorpg now belong to a f2p company which just delayed it for another year and I bet it will just be anohter fiasco... if it ever comes out.

General Gaming / Re: Skyrim
« on: November 18, 2011, 06:16:22 PM »
It still wouldnt be pretty much the same :p.

I was attacking the entrance of a bandit camp with like 7+ bandits and after i killed just one, a dragon came out nowhere and kicked all their asses while I went to hide... then I killed the dragon obviously :o.

I saw a screenshot of a guy that got attacked by 2 dragons at same time while he was already fighting some other guys, seems like the dragon attacks are pretty ramdom.

I read somwhere that bethesda said that you can get attacked by up to like 5 dragons at ANY time while on open field and theyre not precisely easy to kill... at least at low lvl :o

I read that too but from what i understood its just the .exe settings, using some program you have to open the exe and check a box that says "let the program use more than 2gb memory", that fixed crashes for some, a bit more performance for others, but didnt do anything noticeable for me.

So far is playing decently with no lags, i suppose they will have to release a second patch sooner or later b4 I'm into high lvls... unless they forget about PC users, that seems to be a problem lately, guess in the end ill just buy one of the new consoles and be done with it :o

I have it on pc and have been playing for a few days, but kinda like in rage most players cant play with decent fps "right out the box", since game companies focus more on consoles these days, shadows are handled by the CPU (and yes they left it that way for PC version aswell), so people with killer gaming PCs got crap fps even on lowest settings. It has a workaround but it needs to be patched...

So far I get 30-40fps on highest settings, 1920x1080 with AA, AF and all that, but i think i should be getting more, to get that fps I have to set the TESV.exe affinity to only 2 cores and set the priority to "higher than normal" otherwise i get like 10-20 fps and it lags.

I have:
Windows 7 64bit
AMD quad core 9550
4GB RAM
Ati HD6950

Though ive seen posts of ppl with i7s and the lastest graphic cards on sli/crossfire having to use the same workaround till they decide to patch that weird shadows thing back to the graphic card. Like you can see my graphic card is brand new but my cpu is like 5 years old, though it still doesnt give me any problem in other games.

Besides that "little" problem the game looks good. Now you lvl faster and get some skill points per lvl to select perks and some other stuff. And yes the UI menus are kinda console based but they patched it to use the mouse more, but ive been playing with the 360 controller anyways.

Dont get me wrong the game is actually pretty good, when you CAN actually play... its just they messed up the release because most players have to go out of their way to "fix" the game before being able to play.

I read somewhere that Rage uses the latest OpenGL Graphics and that both Nvidia and AMD have outdated OpenGL drivers since barely any game used it anymore (something like that), and thats why Id Software is trying to take the blame on them.

But i think they should have done more testing with the actual released drivers... Instead of releasing a game without any working drivers for it...

General Gaming / Re: What is everyone playing

Yes i applied that patch, but the game is not 100% fixed, seems its stucked at lower res settings after the patch and theres no graphic options to change it but at least i can play.
Theres minor freezes sometimes but nothing too bad to keep me from playing yet.

To me it feels like an unfinished game no matter how much Id Software tries to take the blame on AMD and Nvidia for their drivers.... Still a good game so far though

Im playing Vindictus EU mainly but also Deus Ex and Dead Island and now Rage (unless i find new problems ><)

I tried Rage, but it has some issues with the drivers, id software blames both nvidia and amd drivers but even if thats true they should have tested the game with the current available drivers before the release. Most players are now in "rage" because they cant play :p. Some get very lagged texture load, others get fps spikes every 5 secs, others dont even get any texture and for others the game doesnt even run. Seems the game is a total mess.

I installed the latest amd drivers that are "supposed" to fix Rage issues but still got the lagged texture load like in the youtube video below. The game was released a few days ago and already has a 1gb patch (while the game is already 20gb, 25gb installed) which i havent tried yet. But seems it still gives the same errors.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VW8HriyzNx4&feature=related

Seems we have to wait for a real fix.

Well its not the same having to grind ur ass off to get to the max lvl in an mmorpg than just making a char that is high lvl from the start and just hang around with friends and duel sometimes like GS used to be :p.

For me its fine if the core game its an mmorpg as long as ppl can still can make their mods like in the first nwn.
