Well... internet/LAN would be the easier way, otherwise the only thing i can think of would be an HDD case... and considering you say it has floppy disk  it will most likely be an IDE HDD... dunno if you can still get those... or if youre lucky enough for the motherboard to have a SATA port to just attack another HDD to it.

Yes! I was there aswell, bit nostalgic talking about the old times, and the randomer trying to attack us, calling mo a hacker... xD

Now we just need more people from the old times to join! (or anyone at least)

I still made a character, trying to remember how it used to be...

Yeah I actually still remembered that cochy was mo's username... Good old times...
I found out that I can use the same key for the pc version and I've been playing for the last few days... But yeah there's mostly just rp servers... Theres a few good action ones to try.
Obviously I dont play as much as I used to but we can play some somewhere, both howards lotr and dungeon eternal x ring a bell from way back then even though the latter is mostly empty all the time.

Wow it has been way too much time since I played this.... I got excited when I saw the android release that I got it on the spot.... Now lets see if I actually play... But obviously the first thing that came to my mind was Godspire... Just found out it also has cross-play with the pc version... Which seems interesting to say the least.
I would love to play on godspire again! Or even if its just some kind of reunion or something! :D

« on: February 27, 2014, 06:29:02 PM »
I tried it in a previous beta and found it was better than I though... still not sure if I'll buy it, probably depending if im bored or not at the time of release... xD

Soooo if anyone wants to try it, I have an extra beta key they gave me for a friend, but the friends that are going to play already have one and the others either cant play or dont want to.

So pm me here if any of you want it

The beta is this weekend starting tomorrow at 17:00 GMT (PC only, Mac too I think)

I've been mad, because you can't play it in 1920x1080... And on my monitors if you play it in a smaller format, it leaves huge black bars on the screen and screws with the performance.

Happened the same to me with KOTOR since its old, its max resolution is 1280x1024 but theres a program named Flawless Widescreen that mods it up to 1920x1080, removes the black bars and adjusts the hit boxes to new resolution.

Edit: Just checked the game list in that program but Rollercoaster Tycoon is not in it :o... but maybe theres a similar one around for it.

Dunno what was your problem with Bioshock Infinity (I barely played the first 2 for barely an hour or two cos they bored me)
and even though I dont like fps games at all (Borderlands being the only exception until now), Bioshock Infinite had such an epic storyline that I couldnt stop playing, I even enjoyed the gameplay aswell, though I never had those problems with saving when I wanted to stop playing I just closed the game and that was it... So I was either unbelievably lucky or it even autosaves when you exit... or the distance between autosaves its so short I never noticed it... who knows.

In my opinion you should give it a 2nd chance it really does have an impressive epic storyline, I liked it a lot.

I got my ash to lvl 30 (supercharged) and weapons to lvl 30 (shotgun and ether dual swords also supercharged) and completed almost all missions besides some on the last one, Pluton, now im just waiting for more missions or game modes besides the supposedly most likely crappy duel system. BUT I like Ash really op with good gear can one or two shot lvl 40+ ancients while in stealth.

The only problem is that I play on EU West and I doubt it would let me change the server and still keep my char, well maybe yes but it would probably lag for me sadly ><.
Could always try if I get back to it.

« on: May 08, 2013, 11:51:16 PM »
I found it way easier but just cos I picked Vanguard on ME3, I played infiltrator/assassin in ME2
In ME3 I played on normal or hard dont remember but on Vanguard at least it didnt matter at all.
You could clear an entire room without firing a single shot and I still had that big dmg shotgun to go with it.
Main reason was the Nova (big aoe explosion based on your remaining shield) skill that was added in ME3 but like I said in the previous post it had extremely good sinergy with Charge (aka teleport in your face that instantly recharged shields)
In the first 2 it was more risky and harder to go with vanguard then on 3 it was just complete faceroll xD

The vanguard really needed a buff but seems their hand kinda slipped there :p
Still very good game and storyline just hope if they make another ME or a lookalike, I want a cyber-ninja class like that chinese assassin guy with dual katanas!

Bah stuck finishing Mass Effect 3.  Gotta say it's an interesting game and ending to be sure.  I can see what all the fuse was about.

Yeah Mass Effect 3 was a good game but I still think Mass Effect 2 was the best of the 3 by far gameplay and story wise (even though all 3 are part of the same plot)
and vanguards were soooooo broken in ME3. charge>nova>charge>nova....etc = GOD MODE, if I remember correctly charge refilled your shield and nova depleted it to some big aoe blast and after a few ranks on those you could them one after another instantly. Still love Mass Effect tho.

sry for the off-topic comment :)>

I played the previous tomb raiders aswell but yeah most of them were pretty boring after a bit, the only one I actually finished was Tomb Raider Legend i think.
The new Tomb Raider to be honest I though it was more of the same and that I wasnt going to like it much but its a complete reboot, completely different from the previous ones.
The gameplay was very well done and the new Lara felt more real, as in the weak girl trying to survive.

This is the trailer that won me over for Tomb Raider.

I finished the new Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite recently, both very good.
And even though in terms of gameplay I liked Tomb Raider more, have to say Bioshock Infinite has an epic storyline.

Right now im playing Warframe, pretty fun.

« on: March 11, 2013, 06:13:58 PM »
I dont know if it has any kind of nda or anything so feel free to delete it if it violates any rules.

Well I dont know if any of you guys still follow this game but just to let you know a friend of mine got the chance to try the game during the last weekend and I watched him play for a while with the skype screen sharing option, cant talk about the graphics as he had all the options in min so it would go smooth with the screen sharing, but I feel really sorry to say that even if its still in beta,  the game is a HUGE disappointment

Feels like a cheap champions online but without the costume generation and no travel powers which was pretty much the best part of the game ( and of course its made by the same guys), also you get a crosshair but like in champions you can only attack if you have a mob in the crosshair or its an aoe.

The foundry thingie is just extra dungeons nothing to do with mods like nwn used to have

For the part I saw of Neverwinter only has the name ( maybe storyline?)

Though I'll still most likely try it some more once its released, so far it just feels like a ramdom action mmo with just a known name, even though the trailers make the game look really cool and all, once inside the game it felt like a complete different story...

Theres still more stuff but I'll just stop here for now :o

Now Im sad :(

General Gaming / Re: Path of Exile

They're still viable if well built and not doing "ramdom" stuff like a witch with two-handed swords... I actually saw that build in the forums :0, everyone jumped at the poor guy with the pro build apparently.

But yeah at higher lvl they're considerably harder to lvl / stay alive than the ranger/mages, though of course I just read it in a few different posts I havent tried it myself.
But like I said theres a message from the devs saying that theyre buffing melee and adding some new skills shortly.

Some of those unique passives are cool, like blood magic (makes mp 0 and uses hp for skills), theres another that makes all your attacks 100% accurate but you cant crit, etc, cant evade attacks but cant be stunned, convert evasion to armor, etc (some of the ones im taking)

Its in OB so I suppose they can still make it better.

General Gaming / Re: Path of Exile

Not really straightforwards since you can come up with a ton of different builds and each class starts in a different spot, some of the big ball thingies are apparently big game changers, so you would need to consider if you really want them and if its worth it to go all the way over there and such.

and for the biggest part... theres NO skill reset so it forces you to actually plan ahead and choose carefully or as like I suppose almost everyone does just pick one of the viable cookie-cutter builds from the forum and improve over it, or yeah try to make your own without any real game knowledge ( on your first char at least) and hope it turns out right.

Theres only a refund point system which just gives you 1 point on some quests or using a rare item drop that gives you 1 refund point aswell.

Theres 1350 passive skills from which you can only pick 120 on the way to max level (100). (You get 1 extra skill point from some quests).

The devs said that if you want to respec, make another char :p.

So yeah... pretty straight forward...

Though I talked a bit with a friend playing it over some concepts and I know more or less what I want to pick for my ranger, so I hope it turns out well... lvl 22 or so at the moment.

Also the melee builds are way harder to use and completely gimped at higher lvls, unless you have very good gear and absolutely know what youre doing. Theres a post from the devs that theyre going to make them more viable.

Aside from that HUGE skill tree the game is fun so far. The actual active skills have to be equipped and leveled through the gear sockets, can be upgraded with some gems if placed them together in linked sockets and can be removed/changed anytime you want.

I downloaded it last night, though I tried the alpha version like 2 years ago and didnt seem that great, but yeah didnt play much either anyways.
Took a closer look last night, it just have a VERY HUGE passive skill tree that connects all classes together, there is no class/weapon restriction the only difference is the starting point on the passive skill tree, the active skills are jewels that you can equip on weapons equipment ( and unequip just by right-clicking), lvl them up while killing stuff and every class can equip those aswell. The real difference is the 3 stats STR, INT and DEX the skills are based on those as well as the slots on the equipment use 3 colors refering to those stats.

Im playing DDO (Dungeons & Dragons Online) with a friend basically cos it reminds me a lot to neverwinter, but yeah ill try it out some time.

I liked the game a lot at first but after I got my guardian to 55 and an ranger around 24 or so I got kinda bored of it. Ive been playing some different games, a few days ago got a mail saying that SWTOR was f2p so im playing that, the gameplay is similar to gw2 but the storylines and your part in them makes it more interesting... for now at least :p

I hit 50 last night but still I havent seen any of you 2 online during nights (your afternoon), how do you want to lvl if you dont play! xD, so say somethin if you plan to play during the weekend so we can party up a bit. I also have a ranger around lvl 11 or so.

Theres a close up from my guardian, the 2nd is in my opinion the most puzzling vista I've seen so far, had to climb the big tower on the right from the ground up (theres still like half of it you dont see on the pic) full of tricky jumps and stuff then you had to jump to the other one on the left and go jumping on the plataforms until the vista.

I havent grinded anything at all, though I was pretty lost first aswell, once you get the hang of it, it can go really fast.
Do the hearts, then vistas, points of interests and stuff ( if youre into exploring and puzzle stuff :p)
Or just do the hearts and events you see along the way, then switch to another zone, either higher lvl or go to the starting zone of another race.

I suppose you know this already but when you get everything on one area you get a chest with ramdom stuff usually a few transmutation stones, 2-3 ramdom green items and sometimes some cash shop token with extra xp/karma/craft xp rate and around 2k xp

Its not that hard I barely play few hours a day but so far Ive been exploring everything running around with retreat, save yourselves and the staff speed buff, have around 6-7 areas fully completed and 2-3 more I just need a skill or too that are bugged. :o

My char name its Sync Strife btw.

Right now Im able to select server but is it permanent or can i change freely till they activate that guest stuff?

This is my asura guardian, though its on the creation screen, I'm 40 by now :)
The other is one of the group boss events, when I got there it was already almost dead though so I got nothing from it, but it looked cool.
Ill post some more later-

I was playing with my lvl 11 human hunter and I saw an asura guardian passing by with a greatsword looking all cool and i just fell in love with it, you know how much I loved midgets in nwn.
So Im lvling an asura guardian now :p, their animations are cooler with some attacks or maybe its just me xD
I had lvl 6 norn guardian aswell but deleted it to make it asura ^^

Since D3 was a HUGE letdown (at least for me and 2 friends), Im still playing C9 but Im considering buying GW2 so how is it?
The most important thing can I still change server to play with you guys like in gw1? or at least somethin like d3 being able to create a char on american server and another char on eu server cos if its just 1 server per acc for all chars would suck :/

I played Gothic 2 and 3, though just a few hours each, theyre not bad but I didnt like them much.

In Gothic 3 the difficulty was highly unrealistic, in terms of you clean an entire cave of like 20 bandits by yourself then you go out and die in 2 hits... from a freaking boar!!.

In terms of gameplay its like a simplistic oblivion, and you can only use the game's default hero.
