Title: Invalid Hp
Post by: bus driver on July 06, 2004, 04:25:25 AM
Everytime i make my sorc/pm/bard and try to log into godspire i get put in cutscene mode and get booted said something about invalid HP this happen once before with another char but i waited aday and was able to log so i thought this might be the case since i dident want to wait a day or two for the server to restart  i  tried rebooting my comp, changing name and and tried to log in after the mod was reloaded but still no luck so i remade the char complety and still got booted.

Any idea why

the build was 10 sorc 10 pm 20 bard with 645 hp (2 off the max hp)
16 con and toughness

My check is probably counting the HP wrong.
I believed that I was doing it correctly, but you are not the first to mention it, so I guess im not.
Can someone please tell me the hp/level gain for Pale Masters, as I dont believe its following the description for that class.
Currently im calculating it as:

For Levels 1-4 PM = 6hp/level
For levels 5 and over PM = 9hp/level

Yeah - but only for the levels of 5 and after - right?
So level 1-4 is 6 hp per level and then the rest are 9hp per level.

I've noticed it most often on shifter characters that get booted while shifted.. do you think there's a chance this is due to "Max Rolling" on the classes that have a HD change during level up? might not be a check error, but rather a widespread player-error...

I know I accidentally max-rolled a RDD once with an insane amount of hp =P

Here is the solution for fixing it:

1) click customize character while the char that keeps getting booted is selected
2) go thru it till it has the name section.
3) change the name to something else.

this is a GS bug for some reason... never thought it big.

Well i did crash but not in a duel and it doesent explain when i remade the char offline it still got booted.

Hmmmmm how would the hp stack since i'm not taken the new level just canceling i might try not maxing my pm levels.

You just gotta be careful when max rolling those characters, make sure you only max out the HP that the class is allowed at that level.. if you max for a HD change even a level early you'll get kicked outta the filter.
