Blizzard Entertainment has posted a Diablo III Launch Day Preparation Guide (http://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/5338015/Launch_Day_Preparation_Guide-5_7_2012) on their site.
Most of it is just restating information that Blizzard has already released but I found this bit very interesting:
Early Install
We will be unlocking the game's installer at 8:01 a.m. PDT on May 14. This will allow you to begin installing the game, troubleshoot any issues you run into (http://us.battle.net/support/en/article/diablo-iii-installation-troubleshooting-pc), download and install the launch day 1.0.1 patch, and be ready to play as soon as the servers come online.

Meh, I'll wait till it comes out. Install with my disc the old fashioned way. I'll sleep in the morning so it arrives while I am sleeping, then I can play till I gotta go to work.
