Title: Holy shit, Mo...
Post by: Soul Sojourner on October 25, 2009, 02:26:32 PM
I actually have a product that was made in Canada! Can you believe it!? lol. I think I've only ever had.. or even seen.. a couple of things that were made in Canada. Although the distributor is in Wisconson. lol They are these "Dino Sour Gummies" that I spent way too much for a little cup of. I got those and this small bag of malted milk balls from some fund raiser... shit costed me $15.50! I could literally buy like 8 bags of gummies and a container of whoppers (which I like better than these) for about that much... or less. I know it's a fund raiser... but goddamn! My sister conned me into it, since it was for my neice. Not sure what the actual fund raiser was for though.

Okay, rant over.

Try our maple syrup. mmmmm

The last time I was in an IHOP in the US and tried to get some they had no idea what I was talking.  They had all kinds of other table syrups, blueberry, strawberry, butter etc.  yuk.

Also depending on where you live, if it's north western US your electricity could be made in Canada as well.

IHOP at home has Maple Syrup, but I'm pretty sure we can produce that just find in New England. ;)

You wish.  Your maples are clearly inferior to ours!  Do you have a maple leaf on YOUR flag? I think not.

Practically half of the common plant life in North America comes from Europe.

I live in northern Minnesota, and our power comes from a company in the very county with which I live.

I used to work at a retail store near the airport, one of our biggest sellers was Vermont Maple syrup.  I get mine from my uncle in Maine.  Once I took a road trip from Winnipeg to Toronto by way of the Trans Canada Highway and didn't see a single person.

Our maples were born and raised in the Great White North.  Not sure where your maples come from?  France or Spain maybe?  Ya Maine makes good shit, especially the lobster.  I went to Bar Harbor last year..oh man that was yummy....

Nope I wouldn't expect you to see many people down the highway from Winnipeg to Toronto.  Western Ontario is probably the most boring part of the country especially on the trans Canada.

California has a brown bear on our flag and I'm not putting any liquids tapped from a bear onto my pancakes.

As for syrup, I prefer Aunt Jemima. I find that maple syrup has this tangy, almost bitter, aftertaste.

That's what you get for using Aunt Jemima.

Everybody knows they water down their stuff.  You're missing out.

I'll take Lyle's Golden Syrup over any other kind any day.

It's not watered down, it's a high fructose corn based syrup. As I think HeLL was pointing out, high fructose corn syrup ruins the ability to taste naturally occurring sugars.
