ZOMG the psp rocks!!!!

I just bought a 2gig memory card (but it's 1832mb big i don't get it why don't they make it 2000mb big if they sell it like a 2gig....jeez) anyway I just transfered some music on it and the sound is awesome!!! i'm really suprised how good the sound is!

Also transfered some pics to have a nice background desktop on the psp and that too rocks!

By the way how much place do the save games take on the memory card?

All by all i'm really suprised how good the psp is, I mean I knew the psp was good and all but didn't know it was THAT good seriously Tyrael you should have convinced me waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay sooner lol

Anyways gotta go the psp is calling...

It will actually be 2048MB big. Once formatted, the file allocation table will take up a certain amount of space, leaving you with what you see.

The savegames size depends on the game and how much stuff does the game has to save, its around 100-500kb, most just take like 100-200kb but big games take some more. You can also watch movies, i actually watched 2 elfen lied episodes on my psp in the job xD, i has dvd quality movie, i know cos i have a demo disc with some movie trailers, you just need a video converter.

And btw i did try, dont you remember that psp owns ds thread :P.

Watch out with video converters though. Most of the free ones have addware attached to em. Especially "Video 9" which is most popular.

You can on the DS too.

Additionally, your initial posts about the awesome FMV intros - well - they can also be played on the DS. In fact, there was an awesome FMV intro for the DS FF.

The only real comparison is game quality (not quantity!) vs hardware capability.

The facts are that the PSP has the better hardware, but like it or not, the quality - and potential - of DS games is superior.

I lost my DS in a taxi. I have no carts for it. Which of the two should I buy?
Im thinking DS all over again - because when I play, I want the freedom to play for 12 hours without changing batteries, and I want the ability to play from over 30 great games without lugging disks around with me.

When I want to play games with awesome graphics engines, ill just turn on my home console or computer. But when im out and about, I want to be able to flip the lid closed and save my state for another couple of days - without rushing to plug it into the charger when i get home.

Thats why the DS owns the PSP.

I mostly bought the psp cuz my mp3 got broken, so i'll mostly use the psp for songs and prolly movies etc and also for Final Fantasy Crisis Core.

I think the games look pretty better on the psp then on the DS the graphical quality is really better on the psp.
and with pictures on the psp you can zoom in lol that's also nice.

All by all when it comes to games for me the PC is and stays numbero uno lol, why bother with consoles well some games come only on them like Pokemon (DS) FF (DS and PSP) and cuz you can use them for other things.

This was decided by a duel between Tyrael and Talon on Godspire today - DS is officially the better platform for all time!

Lol that was just dumb, and i never agreed to that :P.

And btw who the hell would stay 12 hours long playing a handheld console outside home, and even if anyone does theyre not playing the 12 hours straight lol besides when youre out that much there should be always a place where recharge it, or use the car battery charge for psp, so the battery isnt even a real point for me, i never had problems with the battery running out, and even if it does if im out that much theres always a pc, my car or any other place to charge it, youre just a nintendo fanboy :P,
because the games dont even have better quality at all, maybe for you but at review pages theyre about the same and in gamespot psp has even more high ranked games than ds. Its all just about opinions, you like ds and i like psp, so leave it like that :).

Me definitely, i dont really like childish games :P.
I prefer games like, metal gear, prince of persia 3, tekken 5, GTA: Liberty City Stories, ultimate alliance, NFS carbon, etc.. you know those kind of decent and serious games :P

Theres also going to be god of war, oblivion, kingdom hearts, warhammer and a few others i saw a moment ago :o.

wich type of video codecs does the psp support i wanna transfer some naruto anime into it....?
Title: Another DS/PSP Topic...
Post by: Tyrael on October 07, 2007, 07:44:40 PM
convert the videos to mp4 and they should work fine, if you fail to convert them or add them on another format than mp4 or 3gp youll get a damaged data icon in the video section, i think it supports another codec but i dont remember, i converted a few elfen lied episodes to mp4 and they worked just fine with good quality but i forgot the program i used though <_<

How did you convert the files to MP4, and does it work the same for PS3?
Title: Another DS/PSP Topic...
Post by: Tyrael on October 08, 2007, 05:55:50 AM
There are several programs that convert videos to mp4, i think it was somethin like psp video converter, and for the ps3... no idea i dont have one.
