Ah, that they do. Usually the explanations come as the story progresses and as new plot twists pop out. While with a couple characters the true explanation is that it is the characters nature. Such as Ikkaku. He loves to fight, as such, he looks for fights.
If you mean in general, why enemies tend to pop out of fucking nowhere and slice the shit out of the characters and then talk more afterwards, that's just the way it is. It's action. It's not the type of series where there's talking, talking, talking, then verbal conflict, disagreements, and then fighting, it's meant to be alot more about the action... so you're sitting there watching Ichigo or someone walk down the street and then BAM! Shit comes out of nowhere and starts trying to kick their ass. The how and why are explained later. It's shoot first and ask questions later style. Bam bam bam bam, one thing after another, that's how action is supposed to be.
Some people would find way too much story telling and dialogue to be boring, and they would rather watch all the action, and this series is meant more for that type of audience than the other, in my opinion.
But if you're just talking about explanations as to why certain people are attacking others then yes, you get them. It's just like I said though, most of the action is first, then the explanations come later. =)
That's not to say many people can't enjoy and appreciate both styles though. I mean, even I do, as I watch both Death Note and Bleach.

I forgot to say that i think that because i got Bleach: Heat The Soul 4 (PSP) that got out in japan in the 24th of May, it has 51 playable chars + 26 more that only act as partners
(buffs/ special attacks) and it has arrancars and vizards. Ikkitousen: Dragon Destiny, its about the fight between 3 schools, but the leaders of each school have the soul of ancient warriors that had the power of the dragons within them, it has good story and good fights with some funny stuff. There was around 12 episodes i think. (complete)

I didn't appreciate it, watched a bit of the start and left it. On the other side, it started running in 20 october 1999 and episode 324 aired today (16 september), so you can say it has succes. Basicly it's an action shonen anime. The genre of naruto, bleach and dragonball z. As with other anime of this genre, you have a boy with a goal and some power, some skillfull people that join the main character and loads of enemies to fight. If you like this genre, then I suggest you watch a couple of episodes and see if it entertains you.
