Yes you heard it correctly. With the recent release of NWN2, it is time to close Godspire down. Yes I know it's sad, it's been our home for many years now, but it's time to move onto greater things, ie. NWN2. Hopefully, Godspire will make it's come back very soon!

So this coming Saturday, November 4th, let's try and login around 1pm EST and have a little get together. Remember you will need to direct connect, or go through Throbbleserv, or use the buddy list. Please note the IP above in this section or remember lucidmagic.net:5121

LMFAO I see people at popular forums that literally have 30,000+ posts and earned every one of them. ^^ At RoD, me and my gf reset our post counts to be low, but really she has over 7K and I have over 9K. If you think only 2K is impressive, you should post more... cause... I like posting... and other people posting more means I get to post more. =P

I'm actually looking forward to this, and I don't think there's any reason I can't be there. I know if it was the weekend after, I might be visiting my gf and I'd be gone all weekend... so you picked a good weekend. =D

I start recording data on February 14, 2005.

Since then there has been 128,930 different logins from 11,110 unique cd-keys.

The top 50 players in terms of playing time can be found here. (http://lucidmagic.net:2000/godspire/playtime.aspx) Ignore the #1 guy he's a bug.

Congrats to Mercy who's the biggest GS nerd! He beat out Tyrael by 20 mins, probably because Tyrael's NWN installation got corrupted or something.

Congrats to Hexy1, as in a very short period of time he managed to get banned for 512 hours. Special mention goes out to Zen who had been banned for 256 hours. Warf-12's latest ban was only for 12 hours.

So far the last person to log onto GS has been Bus. Since the server will be up until around 11:59 EST there is still time to get your name in GS history!

Actually, Mercy is first because he spent countless hours sitting around GS AFK, trying to be the one with the most hours. If I recall, other people did that some too, but mainly Mercy. ^^

Some of those people would have more ban time if I was able to ban! =D

I dunno how many hours it was but when Talon was still hosting i was banned 14 times, i think the last one was over a month. Haha the joys of beeing a stupid noob.

I think it was a bug, either that or it was dm error. But I believe it was Hubba, and I believe the thing screwed up, and he banned me, himself, and some other people.

Well that's all folks. The plug has officially been pulled on Godspire, arguably one of the finer if not the finest NWN PvP mod for the past four years or so. One thing that can definitely not be argued, Godspire most surely have had the greatest group of players ever to congregate into a single server. The list is long and distinguished and it would be an injustice to attempted to list all those names here. Just know that if you are reading this, then your name is on that list as well.

It's been a pleasure to have DM'ed and hosted this mod!
Thanks all! Enjoy and see you all in NWN2!

Remember to stay tuned and post at LM, as there will be some goodies from Godspire made available to it's players as a thank you.

Hahaha. Well, I may not be in NWN2 for awhile, but as a forum-goer, you guys are stuck with me. Fwaha! :rolleyes:

Anyway, I'm hoping once my life supports the decision I'll be arriving in GS2, however, this next time, I don't think I'll be letting it consume as much of my time, since I'll probably be working full-time and worrying about life in general.

I remember this statement from a long, long, time ago when I first popped into GS a few times, at first thinking it was an uber server: "Godspire sucks..."
I must have said the "..." so I could finish it later with "you in."

Most of you know me as the monk who never shut up... more or less. Monk after monk; it was my thing, and usually the black and silverish clothing, but I went more for the social aspect than anything else, hence why I don't shut up here either. LOL

Well, it's sad to see it go, despite the emptiness all the time, there was always some measure of reassurance that at some point someone can decide on a get together and we could all show up, I just wish the last one came out a little better.

Now then, enough of reminiscing from HeLL, and more talking about what's new and looking brighter as the new time of Godspire2 draws near. Speaking of which, what's the status on GS2? And following that, what is the status on Godspire.com?

I just realized, I never actually dueled you very often at all. If there's a next time, I'm pwning you by going afk while at work! :P Just kidding, I'd rather save money by conserving energy. B) One way or another though, the community still has a place to congregate without either game, which is important, and cool. ^^
