Also another thing that may take some balancing out: Subraces.

This is assuming they don't tweak the official rules for "balance" (how I hate that word when used by Devs and not the community).

Apparently there are various magic items to increase the damage even more but they won't be in NWN2 according to the Dev post.
-420
EDIT: Hmm, but I wonder about the Maximize Spell-like Ability Metamagic Feat (probably won't be in NWN2)
EDIT EDIT: Duergar, drow, svirfs, aasimars and tieflings are not capped to any level. They can reach level 20 just like any other race - it just takes them longer.
I'm guessing GodSpire 2 will have a level cap for subraces.
Nifty! But I think you meant to say NWVault there, hehe..

Looks fine to me. STOP EDITING MY QUOTES!
-420
Wtf... it says you made the post at 2:06 PM my time. Elessar quotes you posting it at 3:06 PM my time, but it says his post was made at 3:01 PM, making that impossible. And then you quoting yourself says you posted at 12:06 PM. Err... I thought quotes would show the right time, but I guess they put the time in of the quote being made by the quoter's time?

Ha ha ha, or there is another explanation.

Guess there isn't. I checked it out on other IPB boards, it goes by the time of the poster. And it's actually pretty simple why. Since it adds the text to your post, it would be the same as you posting the time in your post. It's not going to change what you post, and since the time of the quote is in the quote brackets as a part of your post, like everything else in that post, it won't change unless changed by the user, or changed by the board, which isn't going to be able to determine the difference between posting 9:27 PM by itself and quote=bob, Nov 12, 9:27 PM.
So to actually know the time of a quote in your time you must know the time zone of the poster who added the quote, or find the post the quote is from. That also means you can find out the time zone of the poster of a quote, by comparing the time the quote said the post was made, and the actual time of the post in your own time. =)

That means there is no proof that I fixed the typo before quoting it! Not that I would do such a thing.

lol, true, though there is also no proof that you fixed or didn't fix it after the quote.
Shutup Mo!
Funny thing is, I really have to remember how NWN works. First time I saw 9d6 i thought it was a terrible typo. <_<

Well I'm gonna blast your dueler to dust with that typo!
I think we're going to have to unlearn a bunch of the PvP tactics we relied on in NWN. 3.5 rules, no discipline, 4 class limit, new prestige classes tons of new feats that directly affect PvP it will be a lot of fun making broken-ass duelers for the first few weeks.
-420
Did they at least nerf hips?

As far as I know, there has never been anything to nerf about hips, but rangers do get hips in nwn2 at level 17.
-Elessar
PS: wow. stinkoman is really going to have a field day with this, isn't he?

well it *is* a prestige class.

The 3.5 System Reference Docs say the Shadowdancer gets HiPS at level 1. There is no reason to make it different than the official D&D rules.
-420
I simply dont agree with it. HiPS at lvl 1 to me is like if Arcane Archers got an automatic +10ab bonus at lvl 1, on top of all its other bonuses.

dude, deal with it. besides, true seeing is altered to make hips useful, remember?
-Elessar
I dont remember a quarter of the stuff I knew about NWN, including whatever trueseeing did, compared to its real function.

-420

Naw, ill just have to put a lil effort into getting my stuff streight again. Im sure it will come back to me, Guildwars has just sorta pushed it into the back of my mind.
HiPS is only overpowered in server rules like godspire, bow, etc. true seeing or anything of the kind allowed and suddenly hide is useless.

Ah, but allowing True Seeing to reveal hiders is against the official D&D rules. I think there were multiple arguments about the power of HiPS with the True Seeing fix. However, a PC with high Spot/Listen has nothing to worry about from hiders. As long as there is a counter to a tactic then it is a viable PvP option.
-420
Well it will take a while untill servers pop up in NWN2 multiplayer so we can spend that time to get used to NWN2 by playing the single-player campaign. I myself am a bit rusty to at the moment.

Elephant's Hide Wild Shape ability Can spend Wild Shape use to greatly improve armor class.
Looks like Druids will get a little boost from having alternate uses for their Wild Shape ability!

Yeah, and with all the new cool druid spells they might actually be a threat! No more will we have to worry about Druid/Monk dragons with 100s of AC and AB, we'll have to worry about Call lightning and storm avatar! hehehehehe
Plus, with the time required to make a moduel for NWN2, AND forcing every user to download a .pwc file to even play on a server will give most of us plenty of time to adjust to the new toolset (I still can't figure out how to color armor :/)
PS. XiaoX from the old GS here, incase you didn't remember me
Clearly you have never seen a real Druid. Like Talons druid builds for example. They are more than "Threatening"

Wait..Lemme rephrase that
Now we won't have to worry about 90% of all druids being druid/monk dragons with 100s of ac and ab, hows that?

Well, I just built a druid and here is what we now need to worry about:
1. Turtle Shell - Massive boost to natural armor (stacks with all non-spell natural armor)
2. Casting in wildshape form - dire badger got my HP from 180 to 300 and a boost to my AC (haven't tested it with equipment yet)
3. Storm Avatar (level 8) - Immune to missle weapons and knockdown
4. Body of the Sun (level 2) - Like elemental shield except doesn't protect from elements but does big damage to all nearby enemies (esp with maxed)
5. Creeping Doom - 'nuff said
There are a ton of awesome new druid spells that aren't listed in the manual so you just have to build one and see for yourself.
-420
3. Storm Avatar (level 8) - Immune to missle weapons and knockdown

2. Casting in wildshape form - dire badger got my HP from 180 to 300 and a boost to my AC (haven't tested it with equipment yet)

Forget about this. Just tested with item and it looks like the properties on my helm carry over and nothing else. Wildshape severly weakens you in PvP it seems. (Unless your PvPing with no gear.)
-420
Not true 420. I did tests with my pure caster druid that I made a while back, the level 9 shapechange spell the druids have make it worthwhile. The Horned Devil form is by far the best, giving you bonus health, ac, and etc. Also feats enabling casting inside shape work for that spell along with the immunity to critical hits/sneak attacks, paralysis, etc spell they get.

I haven't tested the Shapechange spell yet, I was just talking about the Wild Shape and Elemental Shape feats.
So, the casting in wild shape feat works for the shapechange spell? Very interesting, I'll do some testing tomorrow.
