You would be able to change the IP of the portal by talking to an NPC in GodSpire.
The IP changes at least once per day and more, that would be too much work.

But I am still not sure about this portal idea. It would only make sense if there was the same portal in our ante-mod too and I don't have any clue how to script such a thing. And may be it would mean we would get more visitors in our mod but on some days there are already more than 15 players on and my comp can't host more than a max of 20 players or else it gets too laggy...

You don't have to have a portal back to GodSpire, but if you do make one this is what you should use to portal people to GodSpire. (WP_TAG should be replaced with the tag of the portal Mo creates on GodSpire)

Since most of the GodSpire Monsters are slightly modified versions of my GodSpire duelers, they will kick your ass if you are alone. The original intention was to make creatures that were challenging to parties of GodSpire duelers.

Sorry, I tend to slip in a little nonsense among my relevant points.
Godspire city is relativly new, as time goes by and more features/areas are added it will become more used and generally more populated with players. It is quite easy to reach the city and I have met quite a few 1st time GodSpire players on my server that logged on the GodSpire, talked to the NPCs on the docks, went straight to the city, entered the Hall of Portals first thing (it being the very first building you encounter, not to mention the bright glowing sign) and came by my server for a lengthy visit.
The ultimate dream would be to link all NWN servers together in a World Wide Web pattern where the more popular, powerful and persistant servers hosted portals to both smaller servers and other popular servers.
Some servers have hosted a single world on multiple servers, each server being a specific region. Of course, this dream of linking all NWN servers will probably not happen until all the "Bug Fixx"s of the world lose interest in NWN.

If we have a way of increasing the max capacity of players on our mod without any lag then it will be a funny idea.
But at the moment it's fine the way it is.
It's better to have a small pc, maybe even without fans, to run the server. Less power consumption, less heat, less noise. It costs almost nothing anyway, you don't need a case/keyboard/ect on it, a small pc with a 0,6-1,6ghz processor and 256-512 ram is more than enough for a nwserver. (I don't recommend 166mhz, I did run nwserver on that, but GodSpire sized things really need more)
About linking the servers. It's a nice idea, but it would be even better if it wasn't centralized on 1 single server. If that one goes down, then all links are gone at once. Each server should make it's own little hall of portals and link to the other servers that participate.
Btw, 420, you want to replace gamespy by something better? (probably your ultimate dream, you don't like lamespy I think :P)
