If you noticed, a couple topics are being closed. LucidMagic has been getting some bad feedback lately, and we'd like to change this. We are pushing rules harder, and trying to keep this a clean place for all to have fun. Many of the topics are being closed because they broke a rule, or were old and had no purpose. If anyone is found making a topic that is truly worthless, or has bad material, it will be closed. Be warned, LucidMagic has been told it needed to change, and it will.
LucidMagics Admin and Moderators Team are proud to present the new LucidMagic!

Not 1 topic is deleted from the database. That's why. Correct editing the database would bring them back again.

i surmise it has something to do with the recent downtime of LM with the message saying it broke a license agreement...thank you once again FCC for casterating our right of self-expression....

Could you say that a bit more clear or different, I not exactly get what you want to say.
If it's 100% posted for Nathan, I won't bother about it. Just a bit more clearness please.

bascially, the board went down, the message i got was that the board had broken a license agreement, -> now we have a stricter rule set and Nathan won't comment why....and i know many radio/TV stations have been severally limited by the new FCC regulations so perhaps the FCC came down on the service provider for this board (obvisiously Nathan isn't if the board was shut down and now i only have 40ish megs of storage space)

FCC has nothing to do with it, poeple did break the terms of service on the other site. LM didn't. The lower uploadlimit is my work. In my opinion it's not acceptable that you can upload unlimited amounts of mb (gb). A site has a trafic and storage limit (main thing poeple broke on the other site, and again, it wasn't the board), the limit also prevents abuse.
Why Nathan suddenly got the idea for more strict rules, I don't know. Maybe he took the time to read a few topics and noticed the complains about the spam. I see it as an improvement, but I don't like that so many topics did get removed. He takes too drasic measures without taking in account if poeple here actually want it.
I give him my opinion about it and do my best to keep the board from going down or staying down. I don't think I should do more. Besides I do some administation on the board itself too, but just because the adminteam seems so unactive to me. I would rather keep it with the technical things.
