News & Annoucements / So far so good

awhile back i mentioned i was goin in for corrective-eye surgery...the first attempt failed because of the damn insurance, apparently the doctor was "out of the network" so after 3+ months i finally had it down August 3, 2005 at 09:50 EST.

mkay...see there's this rumor that weapons can be UPGRADED (zomgwtfbqq!!!1111oneoneone :o ) but...everytime i do a salvage i get ingots, granite...wood....so...



WHERE THE FRACK IS THE UPGRADE! (ie like the example they have in the help page Upgrade) and yes, one of my characters is in post :P

could someone mark on the map where the hell's the 3rd Ranger trainer (the one with the Aloe Seed quest) i found him for Khadgar...but Thanatos seems to have left the GPS at home <_< i've (as u can see from the "clearer" portions of the map) been through the whole freakin Eastern part of the woods...

mkay, after not being able to even see my server, and not being able to direct connect i went to bioware's FAQ and found out i had to port forward, they provided a link: http://www.portforward.com/english/routers...nter_Nights.htm

i opened up those ports and port forwarded them and i opened up the ports mentioned in the 2nd post on the first page of this: http://nwn.bioware.com/forums/viewtopic.ht...4&forum=49&sp=0

i can see the server now...but i can't connect (Time Out Failure)...so...what else do i need to do <_<

*yes...i tried connecting multiple times....

At 22:52 EST GodSpire experienced a serious bug....all scripts have died...there is no respawn, there is not clickable items (ie, doors, lights), there are no server-given items....anyone who enters cannot leave/enter the Hall....  :blink:

also, after checking, Who's Online still shows us all online....even though we left GodSpire ...wtf is goin on!!!!  :huh:

master spawn script that uses flags and
"If in this area the weak spawns are this,but if they are in this other area; they'll be this instead"

now, i'm not sure i want to mix weak and medium monsters as the player lvls (which would be used to maintain a semi-balanced xp gain-like)
i'd like it centralized so i can make quick changes or updates to the monsters

-okay, the new death arrow relies on the arcane archer's class lvl to determine the fort DC
-okay, the assassin arrows the script is done but i don't know how to script the EXACT line in the Module OnActivateItem something along the line of an ExecuteScript...but when i do it causes an error...

basically i've done most of the simple scripting, now comes the fun part (the Major Quest)

-i need an If Evil wins script*
 -several quests involving finding an item then then using it to destroy another item
-once all the "Good" items have been destroyed Lyrasia will be blasted with multiple hellballs in a scinema event
-after which spawn multiple evil creatures(i'll make those) and have them start fighting my guards
-i am also to summon all players with a Lawful Good, Neutral Good, and Chaotic Good to my castle, and brief them on the events that have transpired, at which point there task of destroying the evil in Lyrasia will be given

-i need an If Good wins script*
 -basically everything in the above script but this time the players complete the quests in the specified time and SAVE THE WORLD...or do they ;-)





*both scripts have to allow for the other align to make a comeback
((this is a work in progress, as i think of the stuff i'll add to this))

I'll post here the scripts i basically piece together/make....plz tell me if they are right


First Set:

-i hope it makes sense...if it doesn't lemme know

Also needed:

-script to kill PC upon leaving an arena while in a fight
 -also have them sweet lookin pillar of lights activate in a given portion of the battle arena (11x11 square divided into 4 section). the pillars of light would spawn around the closet arena section, and if the player left that arena b4 killing his/her oppenent...he would be killed



*btw: ya all gonna basically have to slap training wheels on my scripting ass ^slumps into chair; crys^

Okay, been fiddling round with a module...and now I think I'll get serious with building it.

What's Needed:

*1 maybe 2 ppl to do a walk through of the place (this'll be hosted on a 56k modem connection)
*Possible help with a few scripting(will post as needed)
