im curious, talon are you a self taught scripter or did you take lessons some how? lol

I would guess Talon learned NW Script the same way I did, I had previously learned common programming languages such as Visual C++ and I just looked at the existing scripts in the Official Campaign to learn the scripting format. Once you see how the scripting format should look, it's all a matter of double-clicking the functions/constants from the menu on the right in the scripting interface.

*secretly think Talon and 420 are BioWare's scripters

Jesus, don't insult us like that! Have you actually opened any of the official campaigns in the toolset and looked at Bioware's scripts!?!?!? They look like they were written by retarded children.
Bioware's employees don't even know how NW Script works! That's the main reason HotU doesn't support multiplayer, the scripting newbs at Bioware screwed up all the code, hell it barely works in single player.
Example: In a bunch of places they used "GetFirstPC" instead of "GetPCSpeaker" for dialog related scripts. (This will most likely make the script behave strangely when more than one PC is in the game.) Poor Bioware newbs, no wonder they are giving all their future projects to other game companies.

 you can open the campaign in the Toolset....DAMN IT ALL :angry2: and here i am trying to search out new scripts when i could just cut, paste, redo a campaign script.....*stomps off ranting and raving*

Probably the worst thing you could ever do.
ya and just so you know- you have to beat a campaign to be able to access it in the toolset

DAMN IT ALL, DAMN IT ALL!!!!....i never bothered playing the single-player after i had to reinstall....

So that's why I can't see the Official Campaigns from the toolset and have to just click on the .mod files in the \nwm directory.
Wierd thing about NWN, if you complete the OC chapters multiplayer, they only count as completed for the player serving the game. (ie Throbble)

This seems a good place to quote this a time:
Here are some links to filters that may help you:
Windgate (nwvault) (http://nwvault.ign.com/Files/scripts/data/1047863474875.shtml)
Toki's fire gate (nwvault) (http://nwvault.ign.com/Files/scripts/data/1074931417671.shtml)
Moo filter (nwvault) (http://nwvault.ign.com/Files/scripts/data/1102622830000.shtml)
This is a link for nwnx/asp, this gives support for a database on nwn:
asp/nwnx (sourceforge) (http://sourceforge.net/projects/apsnwnx/)
This is a link to the site of the database I use, as long you don't go comercial you can use this for free:
MySQL (http://www.mysql.com/)
Altenative is useing M$ acces for it. But I highly recommend for dumping that program to the trash bin
Any ODBC compatible database can serve for asp/nwnx.
Also if you have a dynamic ip and want a fixed free dns adress, check this link out:
DynDns (http://www.dyndns.org/)
You also can pay a bit to get a domain with the name you want. Something like 'name-of-your-server.com'
Note: most of these thing have very good helpfiles, don't start asking me stuff that's in there <_< And if you can't find something, google is your friend. Also if you want a nice stable server, make a *nix box for it (unix/linux/ect). Preformance and stability on those are way better than anything you can get whit M$. Only thing left to do is making sure you have enough upload and building your server. :)

I've known some people to be fussy about DNS names (if they want a free DNS that is). Another great site is No-IP (http://www.no-ip.com).
Btw, isn't there a way to bypass the requirement to complete the Bioware Campaigns before viewing it in the toolset? I'm sure there is but I forgot.

Don't know what you mean. I just change the .nwn to .mod and drag it into my toolset to open it. I know nothing of a req to complete the campaing first.
