My girlfriend can't seem to install nwn on her laptop. Figured it was a Vista problem. :P I will have to check it out and see what the error is again.

Her laptop probably sucks.

PBKAC
Uh, while this may be an accepted alternate, the military (*cough* DARPANet *cough*) prefers "PEBKAC". Probably because it's easier to say it as a word.

Ah yes. Sorry about that. I couldn't figure out what the E would stand for while I was typing it. But now that I actually looked it up ya that makes sense.
So there it is...
PEBKAC for sure.

Ah, so I was right on the money!

Not sure about their laptops but I'm happy with my Dell and Throbble's Dell is one of those Dell/Alienware bad-ass game machines. The only bad thing I would say about Dell is that they cut corners on the video and sound cards. Best to get the crappiest ones they offer then just go out and buy a GeForce and SoundBlaster. This is a bit more difficult when it comes to laptops, but I can see NWN having problems if the laptop is using an OEM video or sound card.

I have no qualms about Alienware.

What junk. Friend of mine had a Area51 desktop. What a PoS and rip off to boot. I built him a replacement machine with spare parts I had lying around. He was so impressed with the improvement. His video cards kept dying inside his Alienware because their shit (and ugly) cases have horrendous airflow. They wanted to charge him $2000 to fix it. ya right.
I have a Dell laptop for work. I am very happy with it. To my surprise the only bloatware that came with it was McAfee. That was easy to uninstall. I have a sweet 9-cell battery with it too that gives me 4 hours. I doubt gaming would be any good on it though with standard Intel graphics.

I have no qualms simply because I've never had nor used alienware anything, really. I've only heard good things though. (until now)
